Best grinder for cooking

I'm posting this in the recipe section because I've read that you really want your bud grinded down to dust when cooking with it, so I want one that can do that, not just break it up good enough for a joint or smoking in a pipe.

What grinder should I get for this? What are you using to get your bud down to dust? I don't mind paying a little much, if it does the job well it's worth it to me. I'm just not sure if an electric coffee grinder would be best because those seem like they would be too big, and the grinded bud would stick to the edges.

just grind it longer in a regular grinder one without holes though

What grinder do you use to grind it down to dust? Looking for specifics here.

But I don't want something large, and all the coffee grinders I've seen are pretty big. I'm only talking about grinding an 8th or a quarter at a time, and a large coffee grinder would probably get flakes all over and be hard to get all of that out. If there is a nice small one you know of though, let me know because that's what I think would be best :)

I have a Glider that grinds down pretty well one time through. If I want it finer, I grind multiple times. It also has a screen for kief, which is a definite plus. It's big enough to grind and hold an 1/8 and fits comfortably in some loose jeans. I'd definitely recommend it. You don't need to grind down to dust if you're cooking, one grinding will do just fine.

i bought a mini coffee grinder from my local caribou coffee it works great and you can grind anything from a half a gram to a 1/4 of an ounce in it perfectly.

There are hand-held electric grinders as cheap as $11 at online shops...

Right now I just use a wooden grinder with metal teeth, a couple grinds through that and stuff is fairly powdery...

^i have that electric grinder and do NOT get it if you want to grind up large amounts... the stems always get caught in the teeth so u have to keep taking off the lid and removing the stems and re-grinding it. It works OK, but i definatley wouldnt buy another. Just get a coffe grinder...


would a blender work ok? I have a pound or so of shake and i wanna dedicate about half of that to butter and i need to grind it up...
