This is actually my first successfull grow, ive had a few in the past but all males. some luck! well im not sure the strian of this plant i found the seed in some really good buds i got around december and saved the seed untill the lst week of may when i planted it. it grew verry nice under a normal floursecent light in my basement untill it had abotu 3 stages on it. then i put it in a big pot and out in the back yard. it grew verry nice all summer long, arond mid august when it started showing white hairs. i then planted it in the ground, it was never planted in the ground because i coulnd not lant it in my moms back yard where i started growing it. it started to stink and had to move it. well neway its flowering verry nice and im not sure exatly when to harves. my father says let it go untill the first fost. with the weather is year being abnormlly warm i.e. today it's 86 in upper ny. i dont want to wait too long. i have three pics that i took the other day 10/3 i dont hav the best camera. any help would be greatly appreciated, also if you look at he one pic there appears to be a brown spot on the close bud, i figure it has a fungus and cut that part off. should i worry about the rest of the plant?:rastasmoke:

hey your plant looks good. the brown spot isnt too bad if it doesnt spread, but keep an eye on it in case it does. if it starts spreading i'd sugest harvesting that whole branch early to prevent it from infecting your entire plant.

They look good.. That brown spot is probably mold though. If it has white hairy stuff then its mold and should be cut away... Mold spreads pretty easy if it stays humid. Other than that it is stout, compact, dank-looking female. Good job on a first grow..

very nice man.. i got a question for you. Did you dig up the dirt and replace it with new soil or did you just use the soil that was already at your spot?

I actually changed the soil about 3 months into growing. then when i planted it in the ground i just took off the pot and planed it soil and all in the ground then put new soil atound it no the normal dirt from the gorund.

the smell was never extreamly strong untill it started to bud. themain reason i moved it was because my mom was buggin me to.

im debating on picking it soon because of all the rain, plus i picked a bud last wednesday and smoked it sunday and it was crazy!!

i was wonderig what everyone thought was the best way to dry the buds? im going to cut the whole plant, trim off all the fan leaves and hang the whole plant upside down for three or 4 days then trim off all the buds and let them dry in a box or paper bag for 3 or 4 more days, any better ways this is my first suscessfull row,

The "trichs" are the crystals, or the trichomes. They are essentally the THC glands on the plant. You can get a 10x or higher magnifier to look at them. Search for thread about them. There are tons of them. Some have pictures too.

yeah i actually did a little mor research and found out what they are. i went and checked them out today and they were a nice couldy color so i choped the plant down, my friend and i spent abotu 2 hours triming off all the leaves. i have a nice after pic to show everyone. i choped the whole plant down and hung it up to dry i was going to wait another week to cut it down or untill the trichs starte to turn amberish, but it's been raining the past 4 days straight and it's only supposed to rain more and the mold had allready started to attack. so i cut out all the mold and choped it down. now i cant wait to test the product!

thanks all for the compliments i cant wait to test it this drying and curing thing takes way too long. or im just and impatient pothead. if you zoom in on this pic you can see it's covered in crystals. as i have been clipping off the leafs i have been saving tham and rolling them up and getting lit off the leafs, i can only imagine how im gonne get when these babbys are done!!

looks great willy! Looks like you picked a good time to harvest.

The drying and curing does take a while, but look how long you have already waited. A couple more weeks is nothing, and you'll thank yourself afterwards.
