Another Shameless Liberal Scam

How many readers have donated hard-earned cash for the Susan G.
Komen Breast Foundation? How many of you have run or walked to
support a "race for the cure"?
How many of you know your breast cancer donations go to the
pro-abortion outfit Planned Parenthood? Beware of liberal agendas
wrapped in good causes.

In 1982, Nancy Brinker established the Susan G Komen for the Cure
foundation, after a promise to her sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would
do everything in her power to end breast cancer. The organization is now
the world's largest grassroots network and has raised and distributed
nearly 1 billion dollars with 70,000 volunteers and 100 staff members. How
then, do charitable donations wind-up in the hands of for-profit Planned
Parenthood, who has performed over 4 million abortions in its own facilities
since 1970?

Profits for Planned Parenthood were $36.6 million in 2003. That number
has tripled in the past 4 years.
Before you "run for the cure", you should know the top five officers of the
Susan G. Komen Foundation earn $92,000.00 a year, and Nancy Brinker is
on the advisory board of Texas Planned Parenthood. Susan G. Komen
organization donates large sums of money to Planned Parenthood
supposedly to furnish mammograms although this is never listed on their
financial statement or break-down of patient visits. How many Planned
Parenthood clinics have mammography equipment?
Last year,
$495,000.00 in "run for the cure" money went to build a new abortion clinic
in Dallas, Texas.
Total donations to Komen organization from people were almost $400
million dollars. Two paid volunteer coordinators working for Planned
Parenthood are employed for the single purpose of raising funds for Susan
G. Komen. The two-way flow of money raises suspicion that Planned
Parenthood may own or partially own Susan G. Komen, which appeared
from nowhere to run massive ad campaigns for their fund raisers. Even
more interesting that Komen's foundation gives large amounts of money to
Planned Parenthood because the two most avoidable causes of breast
cancer are elective abortion and estrogen birth control medication.

Fraud is such an ugly word, but in this case it applies. Hundreds of
thousands of participants in numerous cities around the country walking to
find a breast cancer cure are being hoodwinked by a well thought-out
campaign strategy to bilk dollars for abortions.

The Roman Catholic Diocese in Charleston, South Carolina, and Phoenix,
Arizona, have withdrawn their support of this "race for the cure" scam
when they learned of the connection(s) with Planned Parenthood, and as
if fraudulent deceit isn't bad enough, the President of the St. Louis chapter
of Susan G. Komen for the cure, Sandra Batte, pleaded guilty to federal
child pornography charges.

The head of Pro-Life in Waco, Texas points to significant documentation
over the last few years showing the local Komen affiliates across the
country funnel money to pro-abortion Planned Parenthood. "You can't
affirm life with one hand and support an organization that kills people with
the other", said Eve Sanchez Silver, a medical research analyst who
resigned from Susan G. Komen upon learning of their connection to
Planned Parenthood.

Raising awareness of breast cancer is a national concern. Raising
awareness of well caring people being ripped-off by manipulating, evil,
greedy liars will only help to direct these hard earned contributions directly
for the purpose they were intended; to find a cure for breast cancer.

Howdy bluntblaze,

I hear ya !

As the article points out, beware of liberals cloaking scams with what appear to be 'good works'..the Bible also warns us of evildoers masking themselves with good works.

I'm sure that someone will reply to this and say that President Bush is to blame and try to divert the subject of this thread.

I looked at their balance sheet

Their Excess Revenue Over Expenses (It's not a profit for non-profit organizations) is 35.2.

Idiot that wrote the article didn't even bother to look at the Annual Report.

They also suffered a 9.3 loss the next fiscal year.

so: "That number has tripled in the past 4 years."

Simply put: Bullshit. Example of how anyone who is extreme to any ideology, not only reports inaccurate information, but outright lies.

This original thread itself is a shameless scam

You've got the BS part right, THCBongman. Torog's information sources more frequently have their facts wrong than right,

Nancy Brinker is as conservative as it gets and is a huge donor to the Republican Party, in case no one knows that. President Bush appointed her as ambassador to Hungary in 2001 to thank her for her long tradition of support to the conservative agenda. She held that role for several years, and this past summer she was appointed as the chief of protocol of the United States. She holds the rank of ambassador and undersecretary of state, too. She also served appointments in other roles (cancer committee work) under Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.

There isn't an advisory board for Planned Parenthood of Texas because there isn't such an organization. Planned Parenthood of North Texas is where Nancy Brinker once held a position on the advisory board. Regional Planned Parenthood organizations throughout the country are grouped together to form the national organization. Brinker's role on the PPNT advisory board, by the way, was indeed as a resource on breast health. Planned Parenthood most certainly does offer no- and low-cost mammography screenings. They also offer birth control information/sexual health care; adoption counseling; family planning guidance; STD testing, treatment and prevention; pre-natal health care; women's well-health/cancer-prevention screenings; and men's sexual health screenings. Abortion services comprise a comparatively small percentage of their offerings compared to the other important health-related services that organization provides.

This thread just caused me to increase the amount financial support Dave and I give to this worthy organization each year.

All I have to say is blah blah blah. =) j/k It was too long and I think I just read the first paragraph and just skimmed through the. I have debated this issue way too many times, and I am tired of it being an issue. I still believe and firmly believe it is the persons/couples decision, and NO-ONE else's!!

Next time they have one of those marches I think I'll walk, just because of toroq's post. Assuming I don't get stoned and space it off. Which is a pretty safe bet, actually.

Howdy Y'all,

Thcbongman--yer just plain wrong and are just trying to confuse and discredit the report.

Birdgirl73,despite what you say,the one fact that matters,is the diversion of funds to PP,and PP can offer all the additional services(good works that mask evil) that they want, but in the end they are murdering babies..babies that have just as much a right to life as you have..and deserve protection from irresponsible adults and the mothers that carry them,be they adults, teens or pre-teens. The other evil that PP routinely masks and even encourages,is rape and child rape, because they refuse to report such to the authorities, because they are afraid that the woman or teen or girl, will try and git a back-alley abortion. How evil is it-to allow sexual predators to continue to victimize women, teens and girls ?

How evil is it-to willingly support such ?

I urge all Christians to temporaily suspend their donations to the Komen Foundation until this is fixed,it may be best to send donations to yer local cancer research facilty, directly.

Howdy birdgirl,

I googled Nancy Brinker and found nothing but praise,I read a couple of her bio's and nowhere have I found out whether or not she's pro-choice or pro-life,whether or not she even believes in God.

I reckon that Nancy Brinker needs to be informed as to what is going on,but I find it hard to believe that she doesn't know what's going on. If she is a conservative Republican, she's an exception-because all the conservative repubs that I know, usually are folks of faith and are pro-life..is there anywhere that we can find out just what it is,that Nancy Brinker believes in ? Maybe I should just call her, seeing how she lives in Dallas ?

I read Nancy's description of the last days with her sister,Susan and she does not mention praying for her and even wonders "where do our souls go,when we die ?"..to me,that indicates that she ain't a Christian or..that she kept such info private, because of the discrimination and bigotry,of liberals towards folks of faith and conservative values.

Have a good one ...

First of all, souls don't exist. Secondly, do you remember anything before you were born? Third, there are 6.5 billion of us. Get real. Your religious agenda is both transparent and full of holes.

Howdy Chong V2,

Prove to me and everyone, that souls don't exist. I ,on the other hand, can come up with all sorts of photographic and electromagnetic, infrared, thermal, audio and other physical manefestations of some kind of energy that survives after death.

As for a religious agenda,if I had one,I'd be ending every post or have in my signature, the appeal to choose Jesus Christ as yer Lord and Saviour..and repent of yer sins.

To divert the subject of this thread, George Bush is to blame! :D ;)

Well sir, I'd say it's up to you to prove that souls do exist (and hey, I don't know either, or how you'd define a soul). These electromagnetic, termal, etc readings sound like the typical hocuspocus pseudo-science that James Randi usually debunks. It's the same thing as with the ghost chasers, you get some readings showing energy of some sort, then interpret it as whatever you want it to be; in this case a soul.

Now there's also the debatable question, when does a soul form? At conception? I personally think a soul forms with consciousness, that the physical biology that creates conscious energy creates the beginning, the development of the core individual. So I would postulate that you have a "soul" when you first have brainwaves. I can't prove it either of course, and I don't believe in religious-views dictating government policy.

I guess what I'm getting at here is....
