Hey all,

I've just ordered 10 Aurora Indica seeds from gypsy nirvana. They should be here within the next few business days. I live in an apt, so i'm only going to grow one at a time. SO I'll probably grow it in my room.
If i just wanted to put it in a pot and let it grow in the room, how would i light it? That seems like the biggest issue with the hobby. How can I get the plant the light that it needs to grow healthy and have the lighting look presentable as well?

Any ideas/experience welcomed.. thanks.

Hello sumatransbitehard

If I were you I would try and do things right. I would invest in:

1x 5" Air Cooled Shade
1x 6" Inline Extractor
1x Fan Speed controller
1x 5" Odorsok

The above installed in a free standing wardrobe with a 250W HPS Ballast/Bulb/& Shade or 600W HPS (High Pressure Sodium) if you want to push the boat out, will suffice.

If you are worried about electric consumption then I'd replace the lighting setup with a 250W Envirolite and a 5" inline extractor with some kind of air/odor filter attached.

Light and the amount go hand in hand with extraction and air flow. The more light, the better your plants will develop, but also the more heat generated. If you can ensure your maximum and minimum temperatures do not exceed 26C or fall below 17C then you are well on the way to creating an environments your plants will love. Then you can choose what kind of method; Hydro or Soil, then the subcategory of that method; NFT, Flood & Drain, Aeroponics, etc, Soil, Coco, etc
