Blue Oyster Cult - Don't fear the reaper - You should read the lyrics while you listen to it. They have the perfect outlook on death and more people should fear the death as much as they do.

I used to have a huge problem with death all starting a couple months ago but I slowly progressed and began to take in the fact death is inevitable and we shouldn't live our lives fearing what we can not control.

Don't Fear The Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult

All our times have come
Here but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain..we can be like they are
Come on baby...don't fear the reaper
Baby take my hand...don't fear the reaper
We'll be able to fly...don't fear the reaper
Baby I'm your man...

Valentine is done
Here but now they're gone
Romeo and Juliet
Are together in eternity...Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday...Like Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday...Redefine happiness
Another 40,000 coming everyday...We can be like they are
Come on baby...don't fear the reaper
Baby take my hand...don't fear the reaper
We'll be able to fly...don't fear the reaper
Baby I'm your man...

Love of two is one
Here but now they're gone
Came the last night of sadness
And it was clear she couldn't go on
Then the door was open and the wind appeared
The candles blew then disappeared
The curtains flew then he appeared...saying don't be afraid
Come on baby...and she had no fear
And she ran to him...then they started to fly
They looked backward and said goodby...she had become like they are
She had taken his hand...she had become like they are
Come on baby...don't fear the reaper

Yeah, it's a great song. I especially like these lines:

Seasons don't fear the reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain.. we can be like they are

Very zen.

When I think about death, I try to remember that if others who lived before me hadn't died, there would be no room or resources on this earth for me to exist. If the leaves don't die and fall from the tree in autumn, new ones can't grow in the spring.

I have a saying that describes my outlook on this pretty concisely:

"Mourn not the end, lest you should also mourn the beginning."

To me, death is just as much a miracle as birth, and just as much a part of life.

That was one of the first songs that I remember growing up to, as my brother was nine years older than me, so the song is a musical mess. To me.
