View Full Version : Multiple Deficiencies in Different Plants?

This is an offshoot of my previous thread:
http://boards.cannabis.com/plant-problems/135538-reddish-leaves.html

After reading that deficiency thread a few times, I have come to believe that many of my plants have different deficiencies ranging from Ca, P, Magnesium, and pH burn. A couple days ago I found that my pH tester was way out of whack, reading 8.2 in a 7.0 solution, so that might explain the pH burn. I started calibrating it every couple days now to make sure. I think I have the P deficiency because of the redness of the stems and petioles, the Ca deficiency because of the spots, and magnesium because one of the plants looks faded and yellowish on the outsides.

How plausible is it that different plants have different deficiencies if they are using the same res? Also, what is the shelf life of organic nutrients? I got mine from a guy that gave them to me because I bought a lot of my equipment from him and I have a feeling they might be bad, but they don't have a date on them or anything so I am not for sure.

If needed, I can provide pictures to judge. As always, any help is appreciated!

Deja it's EXTREMELY plausible if your ph has been off.... in fact that makes MUCH more sense than anything else.....ph lockout would explain SEVERAL defs at once. Correct your ph and I'll bet your issues will go away. The symptoms on the older leaves will not improve but the new growth should be normal.

My pH has been steady at 5.7 to 5.9 for the past two days now. I have a feeling that it was probably as low as like 4.5 or so for several days a week ago because it was reading 1.2 higher than what it really was. Hopefully, things can straighten out now.

i found something interesting the other day. i used the last of my mollasses and washed the jar. i dont know why i didnt before, but i was reading the side of it and found these nutrients in it, remember this is percentage in a human diet though. calcium 6% and iron 70% . molasses might be good for these defficencies. i bet it is a ph problem too. i dont know about shelf life .
