just 2 days ago, i FIM'ed a side chute, and im going to place my 42 day old under 12/12 in a day or 2. I was wondering what to expect, since ive heard to wait 3 weeks to induce flowering after topping/FIMming.

thanks guys

The site that you fimed probably isnt going to stretch up like the others and wont produce as much. I did the same thing to one of my tops before flower and now its one of the lowest branches on the plant. I'd let it veg a little more.

I could be wrong but I see no purpose in fimming a flowering plant. Only undesirable results. Next time try to get em at a MUCH younger age. Anywhere from 5th to 10th node or like pale said 8-10 inches.
Good Luck!

i know this. i just wanted to see what you guys think it would do in flowering. this was an experimental FIM, on a side chute, so i could see the results for future plants.
thanks
