Well, perhaps this may or may not be related whenever I would smoke out vigorously my teeth would begin hurting. Perhaps a combination of hot smoke and a few cavities in my mouth, but damn sometimes it just made my mouth feel like a joke.

If he holds his hits in for a while, it might be that. It constantly is putting pressure on the head and the whole cavity. Also puts pressure on your ear canals etc etc.
I know MY problem is, I used to hold hits and force so much blood to my head and added pressure that now my ears pop a lil when I smoke; doesn't hurt though, yet, so I'm good.

once i coughed up a bongload but knda tried to hold it in at the same time and the pressure exploded in my ear. Both sides of my face hurt like no other (my jaw, ears, mouth). It went away after like half an hour but it sucked.

It happened to me the other morning after a G-hit. Holy crap my ears hurt, I went right to bed.
Yeah, holding it in isn't the best idea.

Sometimes ,when I'm high enough, I can hear things that aren't really there.
Or are they?

Do you hold your breath by closing your mouth, or do you sort of close your throat? I close my throat, and my mouth is sort of open a bit, so there is no way holding my breath can pressurize my head and pop my ears. I never really thought if there is a reason why I do it that way, I just do.
Also, sometimes smoke itself can cause ear infections, which is a totally different kind of earache than what I think we are talking about here. I knew someone whe smoed a tobaco pipe once every couple of days, not a lot of smoking really. Ha always was getting htese ear infections. He gave up the pipe, and now he doesn't get them. That probably has nothing to do with this problem, but it's just interesting.

I believe that the ear and throat is connected in some way so it could have something to do with that. I dont really know too much about it though.

Have you ever drank some sort of fluid and felt it creep up toward your ear while you swallow it? It does that rarely when I drink milk.

I get the teeth thing. Sometimes when i smoke it almost feels like my teeth and gums are itching. And lets not forget about the "itchyface", thats when i know my bud is great, my face will feel all tingly, like its being tightened up..LOL.

2 A-G, an endogenous cannabinoid, (it is strongly suggested) plays a part in controlling inflammation. A tumor promoter causes inflammation, and, a CB2-receptor antagonist blocks it.

They always said that weed prevents cancer. Maybe, this is insight into how it does it.

i expect its because he holds it in the coughs and so put a lot of pressure on his ears as they are connected to your nose and throat and so see if he takes smaller puffs to stop coughing if that will help...?
