Not sure if people have heard but it was announced last night that Radiohead's new album will be released October the 10th! :) The crazy thing is that is it first being released solely by downloading and then in early December a two disc hard copy will be released.

How can it get crazier? You can pay whatever you want for the download!!!!

Anyway, the new album is called In Rainbows. Should be exciting!

well honestly, i think they're the first to accept the fact that everyone under the sun could get the album for free anyways.... and it has been said by looooooooots of people they wouldn't mind paying abit here and there to support their fav bands, but the prices cd's cost are ridiculous....

so they're just finally accepting reality.... maybe more will soon follow..

NEW RADIOHEAD NEXT WEEK?! Fuckin sweet!!! I heard rumors of the new album over the summer but stopped keeping track of it, I love radiohead great listen when stoned or anytime really it's just damn good music. I probably will buy the album when it comes out on disc though, I like having hard copies and Im a CD collector

Two more days everybody. I am really excited about the album and the tour. I have almost every new song that they have played live, but I can't wait to hear the way they developed these songs in the studio.

Got the new album this morning! I pre-ordered the massive box set thing so I got the download for free :thumbsup:

The album is sick. They knock it out of the park :jointsmile: If you follow some of their live stuff there are a good few songs you already know, and love!

If you want the album just head to Radiohead's site and get it. It'll be worth it :detective1:

Yeah it owns, I love it. Wish I wasn't taking a break from smoking right now, can't wait to listen to it while high.

It's a pretty good album, not one of their best.. but definitely cool as shit.

I ordered it from their site, downloaded it.. gave 'em 5 bucks for the album.. I figure if they're willing to put out their album like this, they deserve some money that will go directly to them instead of the greedy record companies. :)

i love the album so far!!!not a bad track...much better than hail to the thief in my opinion, but maybe not as good as kid a.

It's not spectacular, but it's still very good, and it does grow on you. Just ask my roommate, he racked up a dozen listens in the first two days after downloading it. :D

Radiohead albums can be slow burners for some people. All I Need, Reckoner, and Nude and KILLER, among others :jointsmile:

too short I think 10 songs wasn't enough but I like the third or fourth track the best. Did anyone hear the bonus track by chance? I haven't had a chance but I haven't heard anything about it so I guess I'm not missing much......

Around December 3rd Radiohead will be sending out hard copies of their album to those that pre-ordered it, and that includes a second CD with eight tracks.

So there's still more to come :jointsmile:

Damn that sucks.............
I didn't preorder it so I can't get one, syustematically forcing me to go online steel it and then smile in glee as a burn another one listening to eight new tracks.

Reckoner is the shit!! That's the first song that popped out at me first listen.. and after listening about 7-8 times thru, it's still my fav. on the album.

I also like 15 Step.. love the beat to it. :rastasmoke:

has anyone gotten the new radiohead album yet? If not, i fucking suggest it. I fell in love with it after i listened to it the first time through. Definately one of my favorite albums ever, i like every song on it. My favorite songs though, are bodysnatchers, all i need, and Reckoner.

It wasn't for free, but you could pay what you wanted for the CD, as little or as much as you wanted. Great album, one of my favorites all-time.

I couldnt even wait to hear the new album, so i just bought the download but im probobly gunna order the box set when i get some money in my paypal account.

As for it not being Ok Computer...isnt that the way it should be. Having two albums that sound the same would be pretty lame. Ok Computer, in my opinion, is a bit depressing but i like it none the less.
