I am a caregiver in Mt. and would like to be able to help more patients, but am unsure of how to do it legally. All our law says is that I can have multiple patients, and six plants and 1 ounce per patient, and receive reasonable compensation. Do I need to file a business tax return? in case I am ever questioned? I want to do this right so I don't abuse our Medical Marijuanna laws, and be able to help people in need.

Hey MT, I'm a caregiver in BZN looking to assist more patients. Where you located? (just curious). From what I know, an LLC with tax returns is a good idea for the compensation $$$. Personally, I only have one patient, but I'm willing to go up to 18 (There's a federal law about having more than 100 plants...). I'm going the LLC route if more patients appear.

Hey Doc,

Yes, well actually the answer is quite simple. I would never do that in fear of my ukelele teacher hitting me. I could however, bake cookies at 375 degrees if I was not alone all the time.
Glad I could help, and good luck with your question:thumbsup:

Did anyone actually get some answers to this ? Or at least places to read more about the best way to go about it?
