We all know that stony pony's are all coined as "lazy" "unmotivated" and "disrespectful". Some even go as far to say we are never going to amount to anything in life!

I on the other hand, am getting a degree in drafting (architecture), while working...as a drafter. I plan to continue my education till I am a liscensed architect, and make a high amount of money. My schedule is packed, but i still find time to blaze basically every day, without ever losing ambition.

Where I am getting at is, What do you do? waht is your job, your career or your future ambitions?

:bigsmoke: -Stay lit, stay educated.

Current profession: Wife/mother and second-year medical student

Former professions/avocations, pretty well in order:
Paper-girl
Babysitter - Did this job for many years
Municipal pool lifeguard, then a private club pool lifeguard
Waitress at a Mexican restaurant, then a barbecue restaurant
Water safety/swimming instructor
College student
EMT4 at a state hospital for the mentally disturbed
Waitress and fill-in bartender at a pub
Contestant in local and state-level pageants
Graduate student
EMT-paramedic for a fire department - I did this job while working many of these other gigs and/or going to school.
High school teacher (English/journalism)
News reporter for city desk at Dallas' biggest newspaper, then a feature reporter
Wife - Not really a profession, but it does require work
Law student/summer clerk/holder of JD degree/inactive member of Texas State Bar
Mother - My most important job
Technical contract writer (ghastly) for a global information technology company
Marketing communications, advertising and/or PR writer for that same IT company
Executive speechwriter (still the same company)
Volunteer facilitator/mediator at county crisis center/women's shelter. I've had many other volunteer gigs over the years, but this is the longest-lasting one and the most interesting.

Currently unemployed not due to laziness, but due to a transitional phase in my life, and a broken foot.

Jobs I can get paid the most for are electronics technician, and actor. I will get an ET job soon. Acting is not steady work. Hopefully I get this damn misdemeanor charge thrown out so I don't get barred from federal employment.

I've never picked cucumbers but I used to go potato picking when I was a young teenager.

Well i am 18 almost 19 and attending college at BGSU. Not a great school by any means, but i am planning to switch to Ohio State, majoring in Philosophy and possibly Music theory. I am interested in playing guitar and jamming out, and hope for some sort of future in the music industry. In terms of jobs, i detail cars anddeliver pizza during the week, and occasionally DJ on the weekends to keep my money straight, enough to keep my smoking habit steadily supported with bud thats way too nice to be smoking every single day.

in terms of picking of plants, when i was in humboldt cali for a summer, we would go around picking pot plants. never big grow ops or anything, just going through the forest picking wild pot or grows of 2 or 3 plants, and amanita muscaria mushrooms haha. potatoes are cool too i guess.

I enlisted in the Coast Guard to let Uncle Sam pay for the rest my education...figured out that I liked it after the first 4 years....22 years later, I retired. Good luck man. I went to school for graphic design, once I graduated I got a 4 month internship doing just that (cd covers, etc.) and was unable to get another job after my internship ended (too damn competitive in the design feild). If you got the skills to pay the bills and an assload of creativity you can make it, though.

I'm working customer service now to pay the bills... I do some freelance graphic design but I doubt I'll ever go into it full time.

Right now I am a warehouse supervisor at a furniture outlet store. Basically, I have to get the the swampers/drivers going in the morning, as well as the warehouse workers. Basically, I babysit them. :p Just keep them busy and make sure they are doing their job. Their job is low pay as it requires no training, thus resulting in high turnover and lazy workers. I think that is unfair myself as I used to do grunt work for low pay. We haul huge appliances around, reclining couches and shit...pretty much home furnishing things

The job pays good and my basic training I got paid off big time. It's not something I want to do forever, but it pays the bills now and the job really isn't that hard.

Age 14/15 - Chinese restaurant in a mall food-court

Age 15/16 - Pizza Hut (also started independently studying videography, cinematography, screenwriting, video editing, etc)

Age 17/18 - Landed a job as a video editor

Age 18/19 (I'm currently 19)- Majoring in Graphic Design at the University of Cincinnati (5 year program with internship). I plan to co-op with P&G, but I eventually want to own my own group of businesses and have enough money to invest in businesses that would be owned by trustworthy acquaintances. I've always thought about entering local politics, but I'm not sure if that's something I'd want to do yet.

When I was 15 and 16, I used to install drainage systems under peoples' lawns. On the side, from ages 10-18, I used to do yard work for neighbors (mow lawns, trim bushes/trees, etc).

Currently, in my free time, I'm slowly working on a documentary about a local organization that has, for at least a decade, been committing mass fraud for huge financial and political gain with the help of state-run and even possibly some federal organizations. It was always a local conspiracy-theory (and not too well-known of one, as a lot of the community consists of college-students that are in and out in 4-5 yrs), but there is a ton of substance to it, along with a few lawsuits from at least 2 local businesses in the works.

Well ever since retiring from my Wizarding days...

I go to school, but I also work on and off with my dad for the past 3 years doing Firestop calking. Basically that means we go to construction sites and seal penetrations where they run through wires, pipes, and ventilations; when a building catches on fire, those pentrations are their fastest means of spreading.

It's sweet getting $20 an hour at it, but the best part is when people ask what my job is, I say "I handle calk for a living!":D
