anybody else see the ads for it on TV, mostly G4? i was just about to go and read up on it. was wondering if any of you guys have played it or know anything about it. we'll ge back to ya if i read or see anything interesting.

it's a FFXI rip off except it's in platform and not a 3d enviroment...

my brother used to play it... it's easy to hack and easy to cheat, it's also easy to have your account hacked

personally i think it's fuckin gay as hell... i mean i'm not big on mmorpg's but i'd damn sure play diablo ii, ffxi, or even WoW before i'd even consider touching MS

Maplestory is the same as pretty much any other Free MMORPG. Everything that applies to them, basically applies to this as well.

That being said, its not a horrible little side distraction, but nothing that could really keep my attention for more then half an hour or so at a time.

Compared to subscription based MMORPGS, its like eating pb&j instead of a juicy steak.

"its fucking gay" pretty much sums it up. its mostly preteens running around stealing your kills and items, i used to play it back in highschool when i was bored. trust me, the community sucks. but that shouldnt stop you from trying it if you are curious.

i used to play maplestory like 3 years ago.. it was such a waste of time really! lol. like any mmorpg! it was fun while it lasted. im boycotting it though. i played the beta version and when i got to a high level they decided to start EVERYTHING over again. and release the real version. i was so pissed i should have been warned or read the fine print..
