There are loads of thread with soli questions but i couldnt find the answer to my question.
I live in Ireland so most of the brand names that are mentioned are not available yet.
I know biobizz is great but i will be moving house soon so it would not be worth my while buying it yet.
So my question is.Can you grow white widow in multi purpose compost with food.
I know the food only lasts for about three weeks and then you have to use anonther food?

I would not add any food to the soil mix. Especially in the early life stages- the plants scorch easily from overfert until they are about 3 weeks old. Compost is nice but make certian it has been treated for pests.
It's easiest to feed with a liquid plant food unless you are really interested in learning organic methods.

Thanks for the help i should have asked the question better.
I have compost for the 1st three weeks it has no food and is designed for seeds.
Then after the three weeks i should move to the compost with the food in it.
The compost has food but what that be enough to sustain the plant or would i have to add food.
I was yhinking of using tomato food.Starting at 1/4 strength then 1/2 3/4 the full strength.
For my 2nd grow it will be organic all the way.
Thanks for your help.

well ive tried loadsa different soil types when i first started growing from places like homebase an b&q i even asked which soil would be best but out of all the types they sold none of them were suitable for gorwing marijuana i found the my seeds would germinate get to a couple inches if that an then die the only soil that really works has to be specifically designed for indoor horticulture, i dont mean stuff meant for indoor plants cos thats crap too
you are really best off sticking with something like biobizz or even canna coco or jus coco but ive got to warn you about using soil purchased from any garden centre ive ruined loadsa seeds using their soils an not too mention if its £5 a bag you would have to probably try every type of soil to find one that may work.
they didnt even sell bags of perlite to mix with the soil which may have made the seeds grow
as for nutes go, something like biobizz has nutes already in it for flower stage but you would want to carry on feeding other nutes aswell i wouldnt reccomend using things like miracle grow or tomatoe food its generally isnt desinged for marijuana an probably wont contain the essentials needed for good bud or worse may contain too much so would kill your plants
you can get some nutes quite cheap an soil if your moving try to get somewhere to deliver em to ya
