LOL...ok ill say it.....READ....READ....READ...then go back and re read everything....then your questions will be answered....i was in you shoes once....but i spent about 2 months solid reading on the internet...and now when i ask questions they are very specific...and they are usually about information that is scarce if existent at all on the internet...and i get replys from fellow growers...but your questions are sooooo basic if you read for 20 minutes on this forum alone ...all those questions you just asked could be answered and tailored to your specific grow environment...and you will answer them yourself.

use as much light as possible. if there is one thing you shouldnt go skimpy on is light. your plants and your yields will thank you.

If there ever was "growing gospel"--that was it! Pure gospel!
I do have one little idea to add... if it's cfl's your gonna use, trap all the light you can, forcing it back on the plant. The biggest reason I see, for people having less yield than they could have, is treating cfl's like HID's. You cannot put three cfl's that are less than 150 watts each in a closet grow, and have the light freely spreading throughout the closet. You have very little light intensity with cfl's anyway, so you have to maximize it.
My first closet grow was with cfl's. But what I found was that I had to trap all the light I could so the plants could bathe in the lower intensity I was providing. I built a HUGE upside down u-shaped reflector, with the lights at the top of the "inverted u". The reflector completely enshrouded all my plants. I had 16 forty-two watt cfl's on four plants. Once I built the reflector, all the stretching stopped!
If this is all a little hard to follow....you can always refer to the excellent advice posted by those above this. Reading is always a good thing!
Good Luck

Well, first thing your gonna wanna do is paint the inside of that cabinet flat white. It may take a few coats, ya know, since it's black now. I don't have any good pics of the reflector. I have pics of the plants around here somewhere try this:

For the number of cfl's, I'd use no less than four 42 watters for each plant. Twenty per plant would be better---lol. But just cram as many as possible in there without getting into heat issues.
You may have been "put off" by the above posts on reading, but you really do have a lot to do before your first run in this new cabinet. So, go gain yourself as much knowledge as possible before you run into problems in the beginning stages of your grow.

i have no idea if this would fit in your cab but i used a 250 watt mh without a hitch. it works with indica strains really well. i had one sativa and that shot up so i switched to a 400 watt mh but for a strain like hashberry which is very similar to sadhu which i am now growing i think a 250 watt mh would do wonders. it doesnt produce that much heat either. at least from my exp. whatare the measurements of that cab?

I know people that use only cfls but I always say you have to use a lot of them to get a good yeild. If I had that cab i would go with a 400w electronic ballast it saves on energy and you can use both MH and HPS bulbs without changeing anything. Then use a cool tube to cool the bulb then that way you can control the heat better. A 200 cfm fan for ventalation with a scrubber I know its over kill for that cab but I always say you cant have enough ventalation and you can cool your cab down faster so you wont have any heat issues. Thats what I would use. Man this blunt is kickin in right now so I have go lay down. Hopes this helps.:rasta::rastasmoke::pimp:
