Basement bud!

I smoked this peculiar bud today, and I was wondering if any of you could identify the bud, or at least tell me what was going on with it.

I was told it was "Haze", but I'm 95% sure it's not. I got two small nugs that seemed a bit dry and crumbled apart as I unrolled the bag. It had a physical appearance of being pretty light colored, but was clearly drier than should have been. The thing that really bugged me was that it smelled like somebody's basement when I took a whiff of the bag. I shrugged it off and smoked 2 bowls of it with 4 people. As soon as I hit it, it tasted like a basement would smell. It's hard to explain, but I'm sure you understand. When it came back to me, it was nicely cherried but tasted like shit. I got a decent high for maybe an hour.

I was thinking it was probably sprayed with something - either that or its just some really dried up haze thats been behind someone's couch in a basement for a while. :p

Could it possibly be moldy bud?
I inspected the nugs and saw no mold spores or whatever. How would I feel hours after smoking it if it were moldy bud?

I doubt it was sprayed cause if i was sprayin bud it would smell like cherries or something not basements. Then agani you said it was dry so then maybe it was sprayed and dried out? That would be nasty i bet. Sorry man im just as interested in an answer as you. I am gonna have to say noone can give you a definite answer except the guy who the bud came from or was tainted by.:hippy:

All I know is I'm never smoking it again, even if it did get me high. I've been smoking for years and I've never came across bud like that. It just wasn't right.
