For a homemade bong, what would make a good bowl?

1/2 inch ball valve
Buy a billy my kind sir, or a slide (pretty much the same thing).
Stick it in and you're ready to go.
For a homemade bowl, some people would use aluminum foil. I heard through the grapevine that extended use causes alzheimers. However, they also say cell phones lead to brain cancer. Aluminum foil doesn't taste so great though.
So you have the aluminum foil in the pen tube, or you can use a socket wrench attatchment - which will work alot better.
Anything metal that your precious ganja won't fall though should work, as long as it isn't rusty or messed up.
As for the long part of the billy, pen tube should do the trick. If not, im sure you could improvise something. We stoners tend to McGuyver things up when in dire straits.
Peace out my friend.
Edit: Yeah, or what he said. ^^

I used a socket wrench attachment and a pen tube as well. :)

When I bought my last pipe, I also bought a bag of screens. They were about 3 bucks, but it came with 30 screens I believe.
