Hi all,
The city where I'm living it's very wet (around 70% air humidity), hot (around 80° F) and sunny. I purchased some weed and 2 weeks later the appear mold. So, I put it in airy place under the sun, but nothing changes, the mold still there.
What more can I do? Can I use some substance to remove mold?

Thanks.

Should have smoked it within 4 days of gettin it

If it's moldy, it's moldy. This 4 day thing you speak off... no.

You can't really do anything but throw it away. It's moldy. :(

the mold is from someone steaming the weed or just adding mad water to make it weigh more

There is not much more you can do. Apparently, a variety of bacteria can develop on damp weed with each genus capable of causing harm, if the conditions are met. Many are deadly and some will just cost you a trip to the hospital, and few actually improve the quality of the cannabis hence some smoker's desire to store weed for increased potency. Watch where you store it though! You might be looking to increase the potency of your stash, and end up finding Aspergillus fumagatis instead.

Do not smoke it!

Next time, put your extra cannabis in a jar. Put the jar in the freezer section of your refrigerator. It will stay perfectly fresh!

And guys, if he is in Brazil as his flag indicates, it can be crazy humid and hot there! Perfect conditions for mold! If his weed was even a tiny bit wet, it would mold very fast. Not really his fault! - Granny:hippy:

i live in a similar climate, although it is usually a little wetter and a little hotter....

prescription bottles seem to work, as they are mostly air tight...

and does mold really kill people, wtf!?!?!

Some molds can, like "black mold," though it's kind of rare. Most molds will give you bad respiratory problems, which I guess you could say could kill you if they are untreated.

does anyone know if you can use the cold water extraction to make hash out of it

It needs to be trashed--don't try to salvage it in any way.

chunk it.... smoking mold can lead to really horrible shit, such as lung cancer and worse (severe lung infections too)

some may try to tell you to just cut off the moldy parts, but don't do it... it's not really worth it... if any part is moldy, it's safe to say that that rest has been contaminated by spores you won't be able to see....

In the future, like granny said, put it in the freezer IF it's damp. It will prohibit mold from growing, but place it within several freezer bags (about 5 should do). It's better then taking a chance and having mold grow on it. I used to occasionally get damp weed (yeah it sucks, but I didn't have many options =\) that wasn't moldy. Popping it in the freezer helped, even though it supposedly lowers it's potency...which I've yet to notice.

ganga- a himalayan method of curing marijuana by very tightly compressing and burying so that a mold will attack the buds increasing potency.

mold can kill you i just seen a show on discovery about a kid who contracted a fungus that went into his sinus cavity and ended up in the brain. when symptoms finally came about ,severe headaches and nausea, and he was taken to the doctor it was already too late and there was absolutly nothing to be done exept make him comfy and wait

throw it away there is no way of knowing what kinda mold it is. unless of course you are a micologist
