Ok, i formerly dont have one of these and dont plan on making one. Why? because, i have better things to do than sit around making a page all about me and waiting for people to post comments just so i can post some back.
But on to my question....Who honestly has a myspace that you use only 'because im bored' or 'it's the only thing to do on the net' or 'to meet new and exciting new people'?, and thinking thats probably the majority of everyone, why have one then?
just curious~:)

I don't use MySpace either. But I do have a Facebook account and use it to keep in touch with a lot of my friends - but I don't spend a whole lot of time on it.
A while back I did have a MySpace page and got creeped out by all the strangers wanting to be my friend. I'm almost 30 and teenies were trying to be my friend. I wanted no part in that. At least on Facebook, I personally know all my friends ie. I have met them in person and talk to them on a regular basis.
Other than keeping in touch with some people, I don't use Facebook for much else. It's kinda boring, actually.

I should also add that I think Facebook has better security features. For example, no one under 18 can see anything in my profile. Come to think of it, you have to be my friend to see anything in my profile. I'm not sure if MySpace has something similar though.

Cannabis forums = my myspace :D
I check these forums just like a 15 year old high school girl would constantly check her myspace.
I do have a myspace, only to keep up with my favorite DJs. New albums/tour dates/any random info that they put in the bulletin.
You can friend me if you really want... it's in my profile.

I have a myspace to keep in touch with friends, I have a bunch of friends in other states (who I know personally, might I add) and while I don't talk to them on the phone much, I can check their myspace, see new pictures of them and comment just to say Hi. My myspace isn't one of those self involved pages, it's quite simple with mostly pictures of my friends and I. I check it a few times a week, not daily or anything. I have very few people on my friend's list that I don't know personally and it's "friends only" which means no one but people on my list can see it.

yeah Facebook is the way to go. I am a college freshman and have met sooooo many people through it. It's more practical than myspace too cause the random people who 'friend' you are like living two floors down from you and that kinda thing. Me and m roommate hooked up on facebook before actually meeting face to face. That was cool to cause we figured out everything we needed to bring and who was bringing what without the awkwardness of a random phone call.

I hate myspace... Unfortunately, I have been unable to delete it considering some of my friends can't pick up a phone or send an email. Instead they send a myspace message. I check it around once a week.

myspacebook - e penis check there is no other reason to have one. want tour dates? bookmark a site and get on the newsletter list.
friend/comment count is all that matters stop lying to yourselves =p
needless to say, both of mine are deleted. its unhealthy to be able to stalk ex girlfriends that easily, and to in return easily be stalked. id rather not know and have everyone else wondering :D

I have several major problems with myspace.
1) It makes dumb pre-teen girls extra susceptible to pedophiles. Yes, you aren't allowed to view anyones profile who is under 16, however, I have clicked on many profiles that say the woman at the other end of the line is 99 years old, yet there is a picture of a 13 year old in a cheer leading outfit on the old ladies page.
2) There is inevitably one friend on everyones friend's list who feels the need to post 25 different bulletins at one time. No one is that interested in your shitty life.
3) I get several friend requests a day as well as the occasional Message asking me to check out so and so's web cam, or asking me to add SexySlut2000 as a friend. Usually the account has already been banned by the time I see it, but sometimes they aren't.
4) Thanks to myspace, we now have the privlidge of seeing a movie staring the dumb broad, Tila Tequila. If it weren't for myspace, she would still be a nobody... I liked it better that way. She became famous by doing child friendly porn... What an accomplishment. I still don't understand how she caught on.
Horrorween 3D (2008) (http://imdb.com/title/tt0765459/)
Not to mention I'm almost certain she is the cause of number 3 as well.
5) 90% of the time when I click on someones page, I'm instantly in a mad dash to mute my speakers. Why does everyone on myspace feel the need to to share their crappy music with me? Now that they implemented the copyright policy, everyone just uploaded horrible independent bands. I respect independent bands, just not the horrible ones.
These are some of the reasons I hate myspace.

I have one that is predominantly used for keeping up with family and the few people from high school that still speak with me.
Otherwise, all those horny babes and hotcamsluts can all go away and get bent, I'm not going to pay for your crap when I can get it for free. And so can the bands, if I don't find you, don't bother me.

this is the age of celebrity and everyone feels entitled to that one bit of stardom. i guess they aren't quite smart enough to realize the advantages of anonymity. i enjoy being just another face in the crowd and if you can't be bothered to visit or at least pick up the phone, you ain't got no business peeking into my cluttered mind. it seems the illusion of fame is the hot ticket these days.

I use it to talk to my close friends. I hate talking on the phone so it's easier for me to just shoot them a message through myspace. Especially because my one friend is always changing his phone and emails (he gets track phones and the numbers change a lot).

i use it to talk to people whose numbers i don't have or people who live far away, or just to leave cute lil comments or whatev. yeah, i'm on of those who's on it everyday. it's whatever, though. not like i don't have a life or anything.

I have one but am hardly ever on it. I'll get on it just to check my messages and to clear all my bullshit friend requests from hotcamslut and sexyslut2000 (lol).
I guess it's alright to keep in touch with people I don't see often, but other than that
Cannabis.com is what I'm usually on cuz it's actually interesting/entertaining as well as educational....
P.S. Rebgirl you're hot! :pimp:

I'm on myspace and facebook to just keep in touch with old high school friends and other friends. And I'm proud to say I know every person on my friends list in real life

I just recently created an account on myspace, and I'm hooked. I've found old friends who I never thought I'd see again. I moved around ALOT, and have family all over the place, so myspace is a perfect way to keep in touch. I also have facebook, but prefer to use myspace:)

I got a myspace after BUZz said it was actually worth having.
It's way easy to keep in touch with mates from my home town and arranging evenings out etc. The majority of people that use myspace suck hardstyle but it doesn't mean if you have one you use it like an emo kid and have thousands of "friends" you don't even know!
