Thats not news....

FWIW, I for one dislike seeing somebodys drawers when they are walking down the street. I find it offensive.

I mearly chalk it up to 1 of 2 things... either they are too poor to afford a belt to keep their pants up, or their Mama never taught them how to dress themselves.

If you want to stand out, then study hard in school and shine through in excellance.

Walking around with your pants falling off is not just showing your ass, but your ignorance too.

Whether it shows your ignorance or not, wearing saggy pants neither picks your pocket nor breaks your leg, to slightly alter a thomas jefferson quote.

And I hate when i see people walking down the street with there pants pulled up to there nipples. I wear my pants how i like them, how they feel comfortable to me. Not because, Im poor, trying to show off, or cause my mom didnt raise me right.

I think its wrong that they can ticket someone for their pants being sagged down to low. If you dont like it you dont have to look. Now some people take it to an extreme sagging down to their knees, but still its their choice to wear their clothes their own way, i could care less if it bothers someone else.

I agree with the artical to an extent. I can understand no i do not want to see your underwear, ass crack, or crotch. That is an indecent exposure. But how dare them telling me I can't at least wear baggy pants up to my waist.

slipknotpsycho
09-25-2007, 02:08 AM
i'm afraid i agree.... you look like a moron having your pants around your knees... i don't expect your pants to be 'up to your nipples' but if i see your boxers when you're standing perfectly straight.... well.... you ever wonder why alot of guys like womens in skirts?

easy access.....

i don't wanna see your shit stained underwear, and don't bother telling me to not look at it.... so many people in thew orld and so many doing it, it's kinda hard to not see it once in awhile...

i'm sorry, it doesn't make you look cool, it just makes you look like a moron....

HOWEVER, i don't agree any law should be made against it.... that's one idiotic law... there are so many more laws that need to be passed.... ALL of which are far more important then this...

wheres that one video, where the news demonstrates, how baggy pants can conceal so many weapons.

the kid pulls an arsenal and a half out of his pants.

hand guns with magazines, uzi's with magazine, and a shotgun (not sawed off)

They never got around to passing this, or if they did it's not enforced, because at Underground there were tons of people wearing their pants baggy.

The thing with the Atlanta City Council thing is it wasn't just baggy pants, they wanted to make it so you couldn't see a thong strap or bra strap and something else, it was just ridiculous. A lot of people said if they could pass this, they should ban old people from pulling their pants up under their armpits and tight clothes should be banned too. It turned into a circus, and from all accounts I can tell, they gave up.

When it becomes such an issue that you have to walk funny just to keep your pants up, then it's a problem and ridiculous. I wear loose clothing as I don't like tight restricting clothing, but I certainly don't sag, I find it moronic.

How the hell did it ever become "cool" to sag I will never understand.

Wearing your pants so low you can see half the ass, just looks retarded. But there's no way a law should be made against it. People these days think any time you can argue that something makes life unpleasant for someone, "they should make a law!". When will they get it? You can't make every rule of social acceptability a matter of law. Laws are the protect society from real crimes, not to be wasted enforcing common societal nuicances.

The prison system is overcrowded and underfunded enough as is. Real criminals are being releazed rediculously early just because they don't have the funds to hold them all. Kids with their pants too low shouldn't take priority for who we give that prison space too.

wow... some of you people need to take a look around.

i see all these people saying there idiots and morons for wearing their pants too low.. alright thats your opinion, but guess what it doesnt count for jack shit to anyone except those who agree with you.

that being said thats about what half the people?

yea i think its stupid when people over do it and wear their pants to their knees. but i dont care, im not gonna go bitch to a bunch of people about it and try to get it banned.

id rather see some people sagging than see some emo kid walk around with skin tight jeans that you probably need 2 people to help you out of. or some gothic kid wearing all black and white face paint and studded everything.. jesus i think if one of them fell over they would impale themselves multiple times.

theres way more important shit going on in this worl than what people wear. i wear my pants low enough to show my boxers sometimes alot of people do, i dont sag to my knees or even to my thighs and if my pants droop that low i pull them up and put my belt on the next hole.

like someone said above i wear my pants wear their comfortable and if my boxers show a little bit.. tough luck pal its not like im sticking my ass in your face or something.

whats next? requiring every teenage girl who wears form fitting clothes to wear sweaters or turtle necks?

just my 2 cents hope i didnt piss anyone off.. all i ask is you just think about it and remember to when you were rebellious teens (this being a marijuana site im sure alot of you were :greenthumb: )

Don't make a law against it, that's just retarded. And if they have boxers on underneath, it's still not my style of fashion, but it's covering up what's there... It's like making a law about fat people going shirtless... No one wants to see it, but as long as they're not flashing their penises and titties, it's only mildly horrifying.

This is pretty ridiculous. What business is it of anyone how one wears clothes. Maybe they really ARE too poor to afford a belt and maybe their parents really never did teach them how to dress themselves. And then of course, maybe they do have belts and do know how to dress themselves but choose not to. If you knew where baggy pants originated from then you might have realized it was an example of self expression fully protected by the constitution. The fact that this is even being discussed at this level is disgusting. There are soooo many more problems that need to be taking care. How about the homeless and starving who on top of that can't even purchase pants to wear or not wear baggy. Let's all get over ourselves and completely disregard the argument that you don't wanna see someone's boxers or somethin because you have to be lookin at someone's ass in the first place to even notice. I guess you disagree with most women's bikinis that expose everythinggg or even just average swimwear and even workout clothes that expose far more..

And slowly we head to oppression. Baggy pants illegal? What the fuck. Now if the baggy pants were baggy to the point of indecent exposure, then yes, I understand. Though, usually it is not--at least not in my area.

So, which clothing style is going to be illegal next?
Maybe they'll make turbans illegal.
And then maybe even make hats turned to a certain side illegal.
Maybe not, but seriously, what is happening here? Doesn't anybody see that this is completely ridiculous? A whole fucking culture dresses up in baggy pants. This sounds a lot like some oppressive bullshit, where everyone needs to have the same style. Or at least, it's the beginning of it.

Oh, wait, someone can possibly hide guns in them. I could hide a gun in tight pants, too. I could hide a grenade in my pocket, too. Hey, I got an idea! Let's ban the manufacture of pockets in pants!

I see some of you people supporting this law because of your personal biases. But I guess nobody thinks anything through anymore.

Why not just ban pants all together....if they want to show their drawers, they can do it right. In the mean time, pull your pants up.
I don't care what you do in the privacy of your own home, but out in public is another thing entirely.
A little common sense and decency goes a long way.

i wear mesh shorts underneath my pants.. so technically your not seeing my boxers anyway.

and i like the point made by someone on page one so im gonna take it to a humorous extreme(sorry i dont remember who said it), so you guys dont like seeing peoples ass cracks and boxers?

alright thats cool you can have that law but i dont like seeing fat people shirtless or in revealing clothes. so thats the next law, because i dont like to see it you gotta cover it up.

what thats too harsh and doesnt make any sense? funny i was thinking the same thing.

america is the land of freedom and choices.. these laws are taking them away and forcing everyone to conform. slowly but surely

I'm not a droopy pant wearer in the least, I think it looks dumb, but passing a law banning it? that's even more ridiculous than droopy pants.

You find droopy pants offensive? Well I find noses offensive. Cover up your nose like a decent human being cause I don't want to see it, its disgusting, with mucus hanging out of two holes that go so far that they reach your nasal cavity... ew gross. Either that or get rid of them, it's your choice.

oh wait, that might not fit with your opinion so it probably sounds dumb to you.

Stop opening your mouth in public while you're at it.

I have no opinion on this matter, honestly, i really dont give a shit, it doesnt effect me, i think there definatley shouldnt be a law against it, but otherwise, the way someone else chooses to wear their clothes.

Thats how it is for me, not down to my knees, like I guess everyone assumed from baggy pants. I do get dressed up too, but when im wearing shorts/jeans I cant stand them to be up in my shit, so I loosen the belt and wear them on my hips. Thats just where its comfortable for me.
