I really dont think that Halo is that great.. im sorry. Its played by a bunch of 13 year old emo kids, has decent multiplayer, and alot of media backing from Microsoft. But other than that, just your average FPS

Not really a big fan but Im planning on making the line just for fun. Im going with a couple of freinds. I also have some great weed I just got. Wish I could put pictures. I think its gonna be the best of the trilogy.

Yeah a lot of 13 years old play, come to think of it quite a few 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 22, 23...etc.. year olds play it as well because many millions of people love the Halo series (as sales prove)so you get a great variety and wide age group of players. So I agree with you a lot of emo 13 year olds probably do play Halo and you know why? Because Halo while not trying to be innovative (which a game does not need to be) takes classic FPS features and perfects them giving you a a fluid and fun gameplay experience, They then wrap that gameplay in a great package that contains a decent video game storyline, with good voice acting and great presentation, great graphics, one of the best musical scores in gaming. The atmosphere and challenge the game provides on the higher difficulties is great. Making the Halo series one of the best FPS series out there.

That is just the solo aspect (since I don't play multiplayer)

People that tend to hate on Halo usually fall into these categories:

A. FPS haters
B. Microsoft Haters/Other console fanboys
C. Simply trying to Troll
D. Hating on it because it's highly popular (cool to go against the masses)
E. Most to all of the above.

sorry i don't fall into any one of those, and it's not that i hate it but dislike it as i want something new for my gaming dollar. not the same old shit ,and yea it's a good fps, good old fps, as it's the same shit, and i love fps, and i love 360, and i like microsoft ,and i don't hate it because it's popular. i just don't like game companies that run a game into the ground, and it's the same old recycled shit and they spin it as if it's something great, and totally new.and u buy that game take it home plug it in and after 5 ,10 mins u see it's the same game, as the last 2. but yes i'll still buy it to give me something else to play, but not like most of these halo crazed freaks lol and im not hating so don't say that lol

lol. I have a 5 hour college class I have to get up for in 4 hours, after that I will be going to work until 6pm from there I'm getting picked up by my friend as we have tickets to go see Smackdown/ECW which will last until midnight. Then I will go home and crash again. When I wake up Wed (which I have off) I'll spend the the whole day playing away.

i will have mine today and i hope i stand corrected as i do want it to be a good game but based off the beta i saw nothing diffrent from the other 2 i hope the offline story mode is alot longer than the last 2

That's what bugs me, if you are looking for something "new and different" you don't buy a damn sequel. A sequel is a return to the same gameplay style for another go. You get enhancements and tweaks in a sequel but in most cases you get the same formula at the core.

It irritates horribly when someone bashes a sequel because it's "same old, same old" that's exactly what a sequel is supposed to be. Someone doesn't play a game and say "I love this game I hope they make a sequel and completely change the forumla!"

If you want something new and different try Bio Shock (excellent game) but if you are wanting more of Halo style FPS then get Halo 3 which WILL be very much like Halo and Halo 2 with a few upgrades and tweaks.

yea very few, the fact im trying to make is game companies will keep churning out the same lame shit, as no one says any diffrent and they don't have to change much, and use the same game engine as b4, and it becomes a big cash cow for them. the only 1 game of late that i know that has made a totally new game from the gound up was oblivion now thats what i mean when u make a sequel. totally whole new design now do u get what im saying???

^^^^^^^ no it's not supposed to be that way yes cont. with the story part yea but same old weapons same kindda maps..i think the sequel to a game should stay true to the core but update it self with new stuff new options and they did but kindda half assed nothing really new and diffrent.u really don't see how game companies run a game through the mill over and over???i sure do

Well thats around the lines of what I was gonna post, but pale said it fine for me. I just was never really a big halo fan, just never feel into the craze. I think its a lot more hype than anything, and prolly forces a lot of games to go un-noticed, and a lot of potentially FPS's not to be made because they are scared to compete.

Maybe not change the complete formula, but you gotta make it at least a little bit new and exciting. Not the same old characters, and weapons and levels. Just Take GTA for example. In all of their games the add new and great things every time, but still stick to the basics. And the Final Fantasy series, that seems to switch up game play every time, and still pulls of a genius job.

Have a nice dayNo, I find that most people who "hate" on the game realize that it's nothing special. if calling something "decent but not spectacular" is hating, then I'm a hater as well.

I played at a few halo parties when #1 came out, then played at a single party after #2 came out. I just don't see how it got all the attention it did in the first place. but to each their own.
