Hey!

This is going to be my second grow, I ordered some female Grapefruit seeds (90% sativa) (really wanted blueberry but very expensive for females and don't want to waste time on males). I will me growing in BioBuzz soil with BioBuzz nutes and using a 200w Enviorlite 2700k spectrum and also 2 x 16" florescent fish tank tubes (on the tube is reads: OSRAM L 15w/10 - not sure if that means 15w power). The size of the closet is only around 20" Length and Breadth but its around 55" high. I plan to cover the inside with foil to reflect maximum light, and to have the 200w hanging down from the top with the 2 tubes leaned against the back wall. I plan to use both lights for both cycles- although I doubt the osram tubes will do much. I also have one of these ( Prem-I-Air Air Cleaner (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0521149.htm) ) to work as a fan/get rid of the smell- Do you think that is enough?

My real question is; with the equipment/space I have, should I go for 1 grapefruit and LST it so that it uses up all the space and I can get a nice even light on all the buds....Or should I stick two plants in that space and let from grow naturally-? I was planning to switch to 12/12 when the plant is around 8 to 10 inch so that it doesn't get too big but I guess if I LST a plant it would take longer in the veg cycle since I need more plant to work with.

Out of the two options I would obv prefer the option that gives me better/more bud, but I also want to keep the grow as quick as possible to minimize risk.

Hope you can help, thanks.

I think im going to go for 1 plant in LST, I think its too small a space for two plants and if I only have 1 plant itl get ALL the light- she should like that.

The only thing is, since im using my 200W 2700k CFL for veg. and its supposed to be for flowering ( I dont think the 2 x 15w tubes will do much and will be overpowered by the 200w) - will it be ok?

Had a change of mind, I recon if I got for 1 plant and lst it, it wont be ready til around Jan, and I can have that because I am going away for a week in either Nov or Dec, or both- so I need them done quickly. (Ill lst for my next grow)

On a seed site is says "Grapefruit: Plants grow up to 50 to 60 cm, when put under 12/12 hours after one week of germination" - can anyone guess how much dry bud this would be per plant on my setup?

btw- how do you edit your post?- couldnt find the link.

If you really want blueberry but cost is prohibitive, try a blueberry cross. I tried bluebery x northern lights. Real nice, and about half the price.

20 inches square aint real big, I'd probably stick with one plant, but you would of course get your space filled in faster with 2 plants.

Your light should be fine, but if you can, you should use the other ones as well. More light = more weed, or same amount of weed sooner. If you use a flowering light for veg, it will just make it grow a little taller and a little less wide with a few less branches than is optimal, but hardly enough to get real worked up about it. You can still train it, cut it, LST it or whatever, to make it do practically whatever you want.

It's impossible to estimate the weed you'll get at this point, but OK... If your space is completely filled in before you flower, and with fluoros, 1.75 oz. You ought not concern yourself with such things, grasshopper. Worry about doing the best you can, and enjoying seeing the plants through until harvest. If you can do that you have done well, my son. Anything else in the way of yield is just a bonus for your first grow in a new set up.
