I just came back from vacation in Hawai'i, where I was born and raised. I knew it would be easier to score bud there than in Mass, because, well, it's Hawai'i.

I scored an eighth of some sticky dank weed. I smoked with my sisters and brother, sister-in-law, cousin, and sister's boyfriend. It was the first time I had ever smoked with my family. It was a very cool experience.

One of my sisters got so stoned, she was trying to light a bowl while holding it in her lap. I laughed, "Hey! Put the pipe in your mouth!" She then put the pipe in her mouth, and handed the lighter to her boyfriend and said to him, "I need fire!"

Then she got up, went into the bathroom and talked to herself for 10 minutes.

My brother (from Arizona) said that was the best weed he had ever smoked, and remarked how smooth it was. I also noticed it was a very smooth smoke. I think only one of us coughed.

The weirdest thing that happened that night, was after my brother passed out. Everyone else was still up, talking about random shit, then my sister-in-law made a joke. We all laughed, including my brother who was still asleep. I said, "Holy shit! Look at him, he just laughed his ass off in his sleep!" Everyone laughed again, except for my brother.

We got the munchies. My other sister ate a box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts to her face.

I went to the beach with my sister, her boyfriend, and my cousin. We sat in the sand, and watched waves roll in that were spotlighted by a nearby hotel.

Everyone went to sleep, except my cousin and I. We found that weed has the same odd effect on us: it keeps us awake. We smoke another bowl, and wandered around the resort talking story.

A couple days before I left, I broke my foot. I scored a small bag of what happened to be some really nice indica. It was such a better pain reliever than vicodin. The pain went away, I had a full on body high, yet very clear headed. Because I had a long drive ahead of me late at night, it helped me to stay awake on the road. That was probably the most indica-ey weed I have ever smoked.

I can't wait to move back. Hawai'i No Ka Oi!
