Many paitents use medical cannabis for their asthma. Joints used to be sold in packs as asthma medicine. Marijuana smoke calms down an over active bronchil and dilates the air ways.
I suffer from severe asthma. It seems like every other person "has asthma". I actually have had countless attacks that have often lead to asthmatic bronchitis and many nights hooked up to the IV admitted to the hospital. So I do not have dormit asthma, my condition becomes critical usually a few times a year. When I began using marijuana regularly 2 years ago I noticed a significant decrease in my asthma. It seemed to be dormit for months at a time- this was very good for me. Last night I had a BAD attack. Extreme shortness of breath, weezing, that bronchitis cough (you know that cough that sounds like 10 coughs at once), inability to sleep (lying down closes my lungs up). I believe this was exacerbated by smoking blunts- i am a blunthead. I smoke 1-3 blunts a day and I have definitely noticed a smokers cough developing. Last night when I was getting sick I lit up a roach- big mistake! This got me a lot sicker. The weed didn't help me like it does 9/10 times, I feel the nasty resin and tobacco spoiled the weeds healing powers.
I have not smoked today. Do you believe I should? I would smoke just straight weed this time, and through a double chamber bubbler. I love getting high but I am actually just trying to treat my asthma. Would a nice hit or two, water filtered, high quality weed dilate my airways?
If you don't have experience with this please don't bother replying. asthmatics expand on the topic, i am sure we all have unique experiences with how weed affects our condition.
