Just watered it today (the hygrometer showed the soil was near dry) and it's gone form looking like a tiny white mushroom to pale green; the shell is about to fall off.
I definitely must remember to plant the seed a bit deeper next time; the root was exposed and the seedling nearly shriveled last Monday...now it's looking like I've save it but it's looking rather sickly...
I'll give it more time! I planted it a week ago after an overnight soak in serile water.
