I dont know how this will go down as most people proberly dont like mustard as much as me but I love it, im not too keen of the smell of it in the jar though. Its great with lamb, pork, beef, cheese, burgers. One of the greatest things ever is mustard mash. Its fantastic for sausage, mash and gravy.

My favourite mustard has to be English, followed by dijon and wholegrain. Im not particually a fan of American squeezy stuff unless im having some fast food burgers.

Moutarde de Meaux- Sweet whole grain French mustard that comes in a clay crock.
I can eat it by the spoonful.
I am a mustard snob.
I like it especially well with pate, tarragon pickles, raw onion, capers, and crusty brown bread.
Excuse me while I drool.

I can't believe you forgot about the brown spicy mustard!! That's the best kind. It's really good on cauliflower with cheese baked in the oven. Sounds weird but it is FUCKING AMAZING!

It doesn't get much better than English mustard. But Dijon is great also.

homemade is where its at. the meat cutter at the grocery store in town is a friend of mine, and his wife makes some bad ass mustard. its spicy (mustard spicy) and hse puts yellow peppers in it. good shit

but as far as store bought goes...im a fan of spicy brown....and theres one out there called stadium mustard from clevelan. good stuff.

i love me some mustard. ketchup on the other hand....thats like the toyota camry of condiments...could you get any more plain and boring ?

I agree on the ketchup thing. I simply don't use the stuff- except as an ingredient in the glaze I make for meat loaf.
On fries? Nope, vinegar.
On burgers? Steak sauce or Bullfighter.
On chicken fingers? Who puts ketchup on chicken fingers, anyway? Communists, THAT'S who! Reds! lol

Colmans is where its at. Your right horseradish isnt mustard. Mustard comes from mustard seed as you proberly know. Horseradish is a vegetable (root veg I think), it looks like a big white turnip. Im guessing it is related to the radish.

I remember when i was 5 [preschool i think] we grew some radishes.

I concider it in the same league as mustard though - only because i use it interchangably with mustard./

Honey mustard or Drambuie mustard I am a mustard freak I have it on almost anything Mrs NCM is always complaining about the amount of space taken up in the fridge by mustard jars.
Lip is right about Colemans English smells vile but tastes superb especially on roast beef sandwiches, I am now starving.

Cheers

Never and i mean NEVER underestimate Colman's English mustard, or you shall pay the price of your arrogance. I voted English but honey mustard is so good.
