another trich ?? about 1 of my plants

ok i had a ? about my biggest plant i posted the other day about it being the biggest in it's 6th week of flower, and the fan leafs were startin to turn yellow.well i went to check the thrics on it for the first time, and it seems to have very lil trich count. i mean very lil is this a bad thing?? i mean the buds are nice with alot of white hairs sticking out but next to none on the trichs being on the leafs, and such. i can see just a few coming from the base of the leafs but stop about 1 to 2 cm out from the base.

will this make this plant less potent?? or do sum strains do this?? i hope i did'nt grow this out for nothing as all my other plants are loaded with trichs, but those i bought and are ice and ww but the 3 that are bag seed, the 1 im talking about but the other 2 that are bag seed 1 has a massive bud on top with alot of trichs, and the other is very dark green and the leafs look waxy or like they have been soaked in oil or something. anyways all have trichs but the biggest one with 25 tops on it so and ideas???

probably just the genetics of that particular plant ... doubtful if it will have the potency of your other plants, because there definitely is a trichome/potency relationship ... be patient, some strains really pile on the trichs the last couple weeks of flowering ... :smokin:

k thanks would that mean if it don't produce more trichs it will be low potency as in say mexican dirt weed??

If you build it , they will come !
PAtience , some plants produce crystals late in flowering , pthers first.
You can induce them to produce some more trichs by reducing the light time by 1 hour at the last week or so.

wont be like dirt unless you started with dirt seed and treated it like dirt.

Genitics. You can't stop my AK-47 from having resin all over the place, fan leaves too. On the other hand, my Blueberry x Northern Lights only has resin on the bud. Both get you stoned quite nicely.

ok thanks i was about to say i went in today and the trichs are on the buds but very lil on the fan leafs but i can't get in close enough to check to see what there doing?? now my ice and ww trichs are starting to get cloudy the 1 or 2 amber trichs per leaf im guessing 1 more week??? and im wondering if i should just chop the plant with lil trichs at the same time?? i just drained both res's and replaced with ph'd water hope i did it at the right time im guessing 1 more week....?

That depends on the high you want. I usually go for about 10% amber. But ultimately I like to have both clear and amber smoking weed around, so I can work while high, or get to sleep easily. I would guess one more week or so if you're only choosing one high.

Why can't you get close enough to see what they are doing? The only way to tell when to harvest is to look at trichomes.

i can on all my plants but that one. i have the 60x to 100x scope from radio shack and the lens is so tiny to see through but i try to get in close on that 1 plant and i can't get to them to see as i don't want to push it into the flower site and damage anything,as that plant does'nt have many trichs as the ones i see are packed in close it's hard to explain. lets say there were no trichs how would u tell if they were ready then???
