Whole new extraction technique, NO SOLVENTS!

I wanted to put up pics, but my camera is not cooperating.

I built this new hash press out of 3/8" wall DOM tubing with two round slugs that fit neatly on the inside with less than .0005" clearance. They have an extremely tight fit and will actually slowly "sink" into the press because the tolerances are so tight that the air pocket on the inside acts as a cushion and only allows them to be pushed together slowly.

I started noticing problems though when I put full pressure onto the new press and have actually "leaked out" THC oil of very nice quality. I think I have a solution and will attempt to o-ring the slugs.

Aside from having to babysit the apparatus at this time to prevent leaking of the oil it works wonderfully and produces some amazingly dense hash.

So, here is the new thinking; with more pressure and a better design I can actually put together a mechanical extractor that can be used to separate THC from plant material without the use of any solvents, heat etc. so all you have is the raw oil directly from the plant.

Sounds pretty awesome. What do you use THC oil for though? I might try making one.

Sorry about the lack of information guys, the press basically works at over 24,000lbs of pressure per sq in. Apparently this is enough pressure to actually release the cannabinoids (THC and other good parts) of extremely high quality. :thumbsup:

This is the best oil extract (as far as potency, flavor, and quality of high) I have ever extracted (and I have YEARS of experience in extraction).

I will post pics when my camera begins to cooperate.

But long story short, this stuff rocks! :D
