Why the **** do we have to hide smoking?

I love weed, but it really sucks that I have to hide it in front of friends a bit, and family totally.

It's driving me crazy.

Anyone feel the same?

I mean imagine society if weed was accepted and normal. After work, everyone would smoke a bit and everyone would be happy.

Why can't it ******* be like that????????

Yeah man, only last week me and my mate got caught by two cops that I know, they said they smelt it as they were walking past where we were smoking, well it was cool, we just got a warning and went on our way, sucks though 'cause it ruined the high a bit.

my personal opinion, Public Pot Smoking is the best way to get laws changed, or get LEO to back off ... organize rallies, and everybody light up ... same as Civil Rights, and other protests, they can't arrest EVERYBODY ... after awhile, 'they' will realize the futility ... of course, there will be plenty of 'sacrificial lambs' before it's over ... :smokin:

This is what i wish would happen. I'm more than happy to sacrifice myself - im proud, if they want to arrest me, they can. It's them that'll look bad and be wasting money and time, not me!

Also, it doesnt bother me coz the worst i'll get it a "dont do it again blah blah blah" and i'll be out.

I'm pretty open about smoking pot (except at work of course, lol). Most of my friends either smoke or have friends that smoke. I haven't really met anybody who's had a problem with me being a pothead.

I don't hide it from anyone, I openly talk about it and my experiences with it on campus all the time. I've even had a few really good conversations with a few professors on the subject. I don't even attempt to hide it from friends, if they have a problem with it, they don't need to be my friend. I don't even really like people, so I won't lose sleep at night.

As for family, considering my mom still pays some of my bills while in school, I'm not going to volunteer the information. I know she suspects I smoke, but she hasn't asked... She asked me if I was on Coke before... I had to laugh at that one. She doesn't seem to understand I'm naturally a jittery person.

My moms found one of my pieces today. She just walked out of the room but she seems to be over it now. I don't really hide it, even in class. But when the law is involved, I clearly try to avoid getting caught.

yes i know exactly what you mean, but its not bad now that im out of highschool because in highschool i didn't really want to have the Stoner social status so i really had to hide it from anyone at all whom didn't smoke but now in college all my room mates are pretty much good buddies from highschool so we smoke on my pourch all the time togather and it doesn't matter

but yet i still do hide it from my family even though my mom is a heavy toker she would still be fuckin mad

#1- Get some new friends....If you're feelin' like you've gotta hide something that you love from 'friends' then they aren't really your friends....

#2- family is family...use common sense...my dad is a toker so he knew LONG before my mom did....but I bet they'll still love you...just don't do what I did (come home high @ 1am and when mom asks you if you smoke stumble and say "yea...I'm high right now, ya want some?" and then offer her a blunt..)

And we hide it cuz right now it's not accepted in society and sometimes to have the nice things that society offers you've got to play society's games...sucks I know...but at the end of the day, you can go home lock your door and smoke a bowl and laugh while watching the Simpsons and eating sushi....
