So when you are driving what hand do you use, majority of the time. Left hand, right hand, both hands, or equal amounts between both left and right.
Im also highly interested in people from the UK's answer, since there wheel is on the other side of the road..
Also on a side , can americans drive cars made from the UK, with the wheel on the other side, and likewise for across the pond.
I drive with my left hand most the time, even though i write with my right hand.. :wtf:
Edit.. Oh Yeah please say what hand you are dominate with left or right.

Usually my left hand is on the wheel. Actually now that i think about its probably about equal time per hand. Oh and I'm left handed.
As for that side note i think americans can drive cars with the steering wheel on the right hand side. Just look at the mailman-cars/vans. They drive on the right hand side of the car so they can reach the mailboxes.

Useall drive with my right, shift with the left. people who allways use both hands i don't trust, they don't look comfortable unless they are rally driveing etc etc. but when driveing a left hand car i use my left mainly because i rest my elbow on the window and it's easier for changeing gear.

Both hands on the steering wheel, for maximum proficiency. (It's american truck, gear-shift is on the right hand side.)
Right handed.
Wheel with my right hand, gears with my left [fuck automatics!]
And, i cannot stand left hand drive - obviosly coz im used to right, but i'll never drive a left hand drive again.

Ah... Lip, you like the manual because they save you more gasoline, have some more horsepower and possibly give you more control than the automatics? Plus... not as hard or expensive to fix?

If I'm driving stick I think its obvious what hand I use (left for those too baked), but if its automatic then right. I guess I would prefer right.

Just from interest, what side of the road do you drive on in Canada?
I don't drive otherwise I would answer. To fucking expensive. Once I get a mortgage (hopefully this month, paper work is being done!), I may get a small loan and get on the road.

I use my left hand to do everything from turning to well thats all you can do I guess. I use my right hand to hold the wheel but if the windows down I use my left. I think if I had a right hand driver I'd do the same on the reverse. I'm ambidextrous so its all the same to me
I didnt see the "Look mum, no hands!" option. I set off in my van from the boatyard with no hands to make sure i've got the wieght in the back distributed right, but i cant take my hand of the wheel on my new car coz it torque steers.

I don't know how to drive an automatic
When just chillin': Right hand on wheel, left hand out window.
When angry: Left hand on wheel, right middle finger out sunroof.
When hot: Left hand on wheel, right hand on grape Slurpee.
When listening to AC/DC: Both hands [sorta] on wheel, playing drums.
When channeling Mario Andretti: Left hand on wheel, right hand on stick, right foot on the damn MAT.
When eating Dunkin Donuts: Left hand on Coffee Coolatta, Right hand on everything bagel, toasted dark, with salmon cheese, both knees on wheel.
When gettin' down in the parking lot: Both buttcheeks on wheel, BF on drivers seat.
When stuck in traffic in Connecticut: Right hand on wheel, left hand adjusting bulletproof vest.

Yeah... by the way, your mechanic called.
He finished giving your rickshaw its 60,000 mile service.
He also says for optimal performance, you have to switch to raisin bagels, as they have marginally higher carbohydrate levels than everything bagels.

i only drive with no hands if i need to skin up whilst driving and thats only to put the roach in(americans roach in u.k is a filter), buts that very rare as i'm like a boy scout and always go prepared, 2 joints for every hours driveing.

I tend to skin up before hand too, and keep em in an old cigar tube. I used to skin up on the go, using the bottom edges of both hands on the wheel - but i've decided against doing that from now on.
I roll 3 in the morning for the drive to work coz i think thats the most stressful part of the day haha! I dont always smoke them all though - i always get through 2. The 3rd one comes into play in traffic jams and the like.

I kinda steer with my right hand/pinky (lol). I try to keep both hands on the wheel when I'm on a highway or something but I always space out and end up with my right hand on the wheel and my left hand holding my chin up.

I drive with my right most of the time. Sometimes in summer with the window down I like to drive with my left and have my right arm out the window a little bit. When I need to change gear its no hands.
