View Full Version : Why is my clone flowering under a 24 hour light cycle?

I've been growing for many years and this has never happened to me before. Is it from stress? That's what I'm thinking.
After it rooted, the leaves were starting to curl upwards. I don't know what was causing it. So I removed it from the peatmoss in which it had rooted and rinsed the roots with fresh water. Then I planted it in potting mix. After a few days it recovered. The leaves are no longer curling and it's growing fast. But now I'm seeing pistils even though it's under 24 hour light!

pre-flowers maybe?? guess time will tell if it is flowering..could just be pre-flowers, or new growth that are just small enough to resemble pistils.

is it a small clone? perhaps taken during the flowering stage?
That could forsure cause what your describing. But its related to stress. It will come around and fall back into a veg cycle. with some time
just my first thoughts wiith no picts

The clone was taken during veg, so that's not what happened. And it's definitely flowering now. I don't have a digicam so I can't post pics.

You didn't mention the variety. Is it lowryder or something that automatically flowers whether you like it or not?

Was it from a mature mother that was showing pistils already?
The clone will be at the same maturity as the mom.

yea i have a strain that was taken from a plant that just hit flower, so i have had pistil'd veg plants for YEARS
but your definately sound like stress, and/or an autoflowering pheno

It's White Widow. The mother was in veg when I took the clone.

Then I don't understand it. Maybe you should buy a lottery ticket.
