Alaska bro, you'll get to road trip through North American Stoner Heaven. So Cal, Northern Cali, Oregon, Washington, BC, then to Alaska. Man that would be awesome!

Wyoming/Montana/Idaho... SO beautiful in fall!!!
Or in another direction, head down to Moab- what a neat little town. And hit all the parks around the Four Corners area. The deserts are stunning.

best advice, go to Weather.com, and check out the extended forecasts for the area you're going, this is the time of year, you can get ugly surprises on the road (me and the ex had a snowball fight , July 4th, Montana :D) ... I'm a retired longhaul truckdriver, and I've been in the damndest storms in the strangest of times, be prepared ...

Road trips are fun as fuck, last one i went on me and my pops drove south then west, stopped off in Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and then Los angeles. A few places you absolutely have to visit are the Great Sand Dunes in Alamosa, CO, and Zion National Park in Nevada i think, maybe Utah. the valley of fire, i think its called, in Nevada is also an awesome place to go smoke. Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak in colorado. God that was fun.
I was on the great sand dunes, we climbed up to the top of the tallest sand dune, 750 some feet, and right as we were at the highest point in miles and miles, a freak storm comes out of nowhere and drops marble sized hail and mad lightning on us. we ran as fast as we possibly could, made it to the bottom and a tree got struck right in front of us... really crazy shit.
Have fun.
EDIT: At certain times of the year you can go visit the Trinity Site in New Mexico, where the first atomic bomb went off... the sand is still white to this day. Also driving through the White Sands Proving Ground nearby, i guess it wasnt that time of season, because you could hear faint bombs out in the distance, i guess they tested a huge bomb or something because we could see it for miles and miles away, must have been 20 or 30 miles away and we saw and felt it... Probably a daisy cutter or something lol.

Honestly if i were you i would take a road trip from where you are on historic route 66 all the way to chicago. That would be so cool, i doubt that there are many cops on that road since it isn't really used anymore. Plus you get to see america's history on the way and meet some cool people.
