Ok this papaya is almost 2 months old if not already and its only 5 inches!

Can someone tell me what the problem could be?

The temps are 80f and the nutes are Earth Juice Grow.

Nutes with "Grow" in the name are usually part of a three-part comboof nutes you are supposed to use together. You might want to get some Micro and Bloom and add them to your nutes.

Yeah i have grow bloom and catalyst (no micro)! Lights are 6 26 watt cfls! That should be adequate light for only 2 plants. I've seen more growth than this with only 2 cfls on my first bagseed grow.

I'm growing from seed and my ph is 6.6! Are yours any bigger than mine are? I'm really stumped on this. It may be root bound but there in a nice size pot and even if they are root bound they should've reached a larger size than this before even getting root bound.

Is it a seed from a bag? Or did you buy this seed.
There are such things as dwarf plants.. Thing will only get so large.. mature then flower. It's happened to me..

mine are about the same size, maybe 1/2"shorter, my ph is high in the soil,

i just put some stuff in it yesterday or the day before to try to correct

i just put into square pots and nute rich soil, mine were not rootbound. roots were just starting to peak at bottom of soil

bobbong mine are from bag not bought, thanks for info

Yeah mines were purchased from seedboutique. But i have a C99 next to it thats a little shorter although it is like 3 weeks younger. It just made a month and its only 4 inches tall. They look very healthy there just so fricking short.

Ok i finally did the transplant and im hoping for some results soon. How long does it usually take a soil plant to stabalize from the shock of a transplant?!

well i measured the C99 and the papaya and im noticing some growth from them both since transplant. The Papaya has grown 2 inches in height but the C99 has gotten bushier and only gained 1 inch in height.

The first pic is of the C99 the second is the Papaya.

The babies needed more space. I just went through a similar problem. I have to transplant one more time before they make it into the 5 gallon buckets, i guess i'll be prepared for next time. When your plant runs out of root room, it really seems to focus on putting all its energy into the existing foliage, when you transplant them though, they will explode.

Also dawf plants. Thats pretty interesting. Was it because of its strain, or did it just happen to be short.

Your plants look good. I grow Papya... Its a great strain..

Anywho I have selected a Papya plant that stays extreamly low. Its a perfect fit for my cabinet. I grew some from seed and then kept the shortest one from the bunch as my mother. I now have clones etc.

What your showing me looks very similar to my mother plant. But 2 months that does seem a bit long. however you plant looks healthy I wouldn't fret. hopefully you'll see some preflowers soon. Then you'll know forsure your plant it mature.

Only autoflowering strains have the ability to do this. They reach a certain calendar age and then flower.

Dwarf plants are rare. Most likely if you are running a non-autoflowering strain, and it stays small, it is a problem with soil pH or the plant is root-bound.

Ok i guess it was rootbound although it didnt look like it. The plants have taken off since the transplant. The papaya stretched a bit because after switching pots i forgot to lower the lights back causing them to stretch. The C99 though is still in perfect shape and she's beginning to be quite the busy little babe!

The first 3 pics are of the C99 and the last two are of the papaya.
