I'm highly fucking annoyed. We have been buying crappy ghetto weed because we don't have the money to afford KB. Neither me or my girlfriend have had any luck find a decent mids dealer in our area either. We paid for a Q and it looks like an 8th's worth, including the abundant seeds and a few stems.

Does anyone have an easy and moderately efficient way of making a balance scale. I suppose what I'm asking is this, once I make it, what can I put on one side that will equal an 1/8th? Math has never been my strong point.

I mean a Quarter... What equals a quarter. Could it possibly be as simple a U.S. quarter...? I'm gonna google that.

3.5 grams is an Eighth (Eighth of an ounce), 7 grams is a Quarter (Quarter of an ounce), 14 grams is half an ounce, and finally 28 grams and some change is an ounce. If you are asking what kind of item you can play that will equal an eighth of an ounce of weed; there are several. A bic pen cap or a single Smartie candie equals pretty damn close to a gram; maybe like .98 or .99 grams. A US nickel is 5 grams. You can always buy little weights and any craft store though.
Don't worry about the crappy ghetto weed though, that's all I can usually find. Still gets me stoned though so it's all good. As soon as I get my own spot, I plan to grow several plants =D

EDIT: They call it a quarter because it's a quarter of a dollar. (4 quaters = 1 dollar). Buy anyways, to equal a quarter ounce, put a new US nickel and 2 Smarties = 7 grams.

I think we figured it out. We tied the bag of weed to one end of a coat hanger with an nickle and dime on the other. I looked it up, the weight of the nickel and dime equals a little over a Q. Our makeshift scale says it is pretty darn close. At least not enough to get up set about.

I do however think it is about time to invest in a digital scale. Thanks to both of you for the help.

I guess the extra weight from the dime makes up for the bag weight. But yeah, digital scales are like $5 at wallyworld. Gl with your skunk hunting though.

and a dollar always ways a gram too... or a bill point period. Most little baggies, like a sandwich bag weights a little more over a gram too, so keep that in mind.

an easy way for me to tell if its straight if i dont have a scale is to break it down and see how many blunts can be rolled out of it

Don't do makeshift. Like your dealer is gonna believe it's accurate....... just buy one

I could care less if he believes it. If it showed it was off I would double check it on a digital scale and never buy from him again.

I don't do the whole, you made a mistake, fix. If you try to purposefully fuck me, I just won't ever do business with you again. I've already about had it with him, even though this bag turned out to be correct. But when you buy an ounce and discover Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree included, it tends to piss you off. It was a one time thing though, so I decided to let it slide. I'm keeping an eye out for weights though, from this point on, and next time I go to Wal-Mart I'm investing in scale.

does anyone know a comparison for .5? a dollar ripped in half? lol

JaggedEdge

haha, it actually wasn't a bad comparison. I was going by how heavy a quarter feels, and in actuallity I was only 2 grams off.

invest in a scale...weigh it before you take it from someone, if it's not what you're wanting to buy tell them you'll go find a bag from someone else...only way to get by man, I couldn't stand to buy something and just hope it weighed what it was supposed to..

if you can afford regular stuff, you can certainly pay a few bucks for a hand scale..

so ripping a dollar in half might actually work for a 1/2 gram comparison??

buy a scale, order one if you have to... hand scales are ok, but not great

BTW a nickel weighs 5 grams, and a dollar weighs one, use them to make sure the scale is right

3.5g,7g,14g,28g (you SHOULD understand that)

DON"T FORGET, a baggy weighs about a gram, so if you get bagged product it should actually be a gram over the actual weight...

only retards pay for a bag

this is the best way to find out if ur getting screwed over or not on a quarter. the first thing is find out how much your coin currency weighs on average in your country. in canada a quarter weighs a lil over 5 grams and a penny weighs a lil over 2 grams, so put together i have roughly 7.5ish grams. so u take a long, flat object (such as a small piece of wood that is even without chunks or anything missing out of it that would throw the balance off.) then u balance this on an object such as a the top of a coke bottle with the cap on so that the weight of the wood is evenly balanced in the middle and it will stay in place without teetering. now with a steady hand take ur weed out of its baggy and hold it above one side of the wood and hold ur change over the other, then place both on the ends at the same time. if the weight is even it should balance. i tried this myself today since i thought i was getting ripped off on a quarter, but as it turns out it evened out, when i add a dime or take a piece of weed off, the weight teeters and falls off the coke bottle, just be careful not to drop a bud on the floor like i did lol. well this works for me maybe itll work for u

I bought a great scale at thedigitalpocketscale.com (http://thedigitalpocketscale.com) it's disguised as a modern day iphone so no none knows I am carrying around a scale. I just bust that out measure it up real quick and I never get ripped off. Really the best digital weed scale (http://thedigitalpocketscale.com) I have ever had and it has saved me a lot of bud that I would have missed out on.
