I just got done watching some VH1's The drug years and they spoke of orange marijuana like "Panama Red" and various others. They were seemingly orange throughout and not just the hairs. Are any of those strains still floating around? Because I can't find any of them in the online seedbanks.

I got a hold of some solid orange buds with bright red hairs .... it has to be out there, maybe not n the seed bank.

you won't find any 'Panama Red' that hasn't been hybridized, no 'pure' sativa PR to be found anywhere ... it's one of the biggest 'losses' to the MJ world ... also, one of my all-time favorites ... (I have never seen, or heard of, 'orange' PR, or any other orange plants, either) ... there was a 'California Orange Bud' around a few years back, but that was because it smelled like oranges, being grown in orange groves, probably ... wasn't any different color though ... :smokin:

Im having the same problem finding a pure Erkle strain ... Its a clone only so the best possible strain is Querkle an Erkle hybrid but no were near as solid purple as the pure strain.

California orange bud is orange but not a solid orange like your talking about ... I actually re watched the drug years after reading this post and saw what you were talking about.

To bad Panama Red and Columbian Gold weren't grown like strains are today.
I had both around 1975. They were truly excellent. Long before I had the ability to grow my own. I've noticed that seedsman has columbian red haze and that skunk #1 claims gold as one of its ancestors. I liked Panama Red the best. I use that as a yard stick of quality.

agreed the land races are gone or buried in genetic soups now.

my nycd is a toned down orange and is citrus in flav, but nothing like the stuff i smoked in school.

I would still have the pr, but 4yrs and leo totaled my outdoor growing for life. I wanna see some rat walk through my grow now. mofos
