Jamaica

Well I was checking out weekend flights to Jamaica and I found one for $456 debarting thursday and coming back on sunday. I figure that for such little time I might not need more than $700, but I just wonder if any of you guys have ever been there, or have a friend whos been there. I'm really just wondering how expensive is stuff over there and it its worth the while. I know weed is not legal there so don't tell me that.

well,to me 250 would seem like enough money for a few days but id take more to be on the safe side.My brother is going there in march with his boss,and i just had a friend who came back from there and said it was rainy and shitty the whole week she was there until the day she had to leave.But yea that seems like enough.
My bros boss has been there prior,and told me he got on a bus there one time and the driver had a 40 and a joint.His boss said something to him along the lines of what are you doing? I guess the bus driver said "we do whatever the fuck we want here in jamaica." Sounds to me like it would be an interesting vacation.

jamaica can be expensive...or it can be cheap, the good thing about jamaica is that u can bargain with the locals and grab great deals on many items, but the bad thing is there is so much nice things that u mite go overboard. to wrap it up,,, if i were u id bring the maximum amount ud be willing to spend in ur time there, but be very careful b/c jamaica is also full of greedy, stealing people who just wait for tourists to go into there cities, so make sure u stay in a resort or in a heavily touristed area. also, be very picky and careful when u do activities such as horseback riding or siting seeing, ect. many of the locals wait for tourists to go out in the woods horseback riding then they beat em and steal shoes, money, everything. just take care of urself and try to always be with someone. other than that, ull probably have one of the best times of ur life! where in jamaica are u going?

I have been to St Kitts several times and it is a truly wonderful place drugs are totally 100% illegal in all off the Caribbean islands and you will be placed in custody...enjoy the lifestyle and the food but only smoke weed in the privacy off your room,,please you would not want to spend any time inside a Jamaican jail believe me...

i've been, all the locals will be able to tell your a tourist froma mile away, they will try to sell bunk for high prices. not worth going for the indulgence of smoking, now amsterdam is the place to be.

Well you see I'm latin... so I'm not going to have much of the tourist look but still maybe a little. I speak spanish so I'm hoping I can find some people who speak spanish there. I don't know... I'm thinking about buying one of those travel books that tell you like everything the place has and stuff. I don't think the book is going to tell me how to get weed so I'm going to have to work on that. Depending on what I read on the book is where I will go, I wan't to stay in a safe touristic area but I also want to visit other places in there, and Jamaica is really small so it doesn't look like a problem.


I'm not really worrying much about safety, place where I live isn't safe so...

ok well if you try to get weed, be very careful....a lot of undercover people down there. they can even smoke it with you. they can put you in custody even if you dont decide to buy any, just for smokin man. Ummmmm the weed was really shitty, but i figure there has to be some good buds on that island somewhere. but yeah dude be very careful buying weed......i dont even have advice on how to tell if its a cop or not....just use your instincts.....and always let them blow their own bowl first.....bc if they are a cop....they probably wont cash it all, and ask why you arent smoking. regular people wouldnt care that you werent smoking, they would know you arent a cop. but im just dragging on man. be careful. peace

helter if you want to try some good weed at fair prices then my advice to you would be as someone else stated...go to the Dam, the Caribbean is not the place to buy or try weed......be warned guy the police there do not play by the rules of fair..if caught they will beat the living shit out of you before throwing you in jail and the amount you were holding will grow by the minute.....fact...

i understand how dangerous buying can be, but when i was there i visited a back ally market and every1 was smoking rite there and me and some friends got some and it was some of the best we've ever had. just be cool with the people and dont be scared just talk with em and be like "i want the best shit u have, i dont want no garbage, give me the best u have or i wont buy" and if they pull out some shit just start to walk away and then theyll be like "ok ok mon, fine, here ya go now" thats wat happen with me so it was all good, hope u get as lucky as me, peace

***fyi, the more of a tourist area it is...the more narcs theyre are, so even tho leaving tourist populated areas may be dangerous, it also may be safer in terms of wat u wanna get.... but seriusly it dont matter if ur spanish dude, u def. do not look anything like them and theyll no ur a tourist, 90% of the population is black
