and we seem to have not only PO'd a few folks, but got ourselves nuked for an "obnoxious post."
I freely admit I DID NOT read the rules when I signed up a few days ago. For that, I do apologize, and have hence since READ the rules, and will try my darndest to abide by them.
Now understand, however, that in my younger days, back when Noah was still building on that old ark, I killed zillions of brain cells (so there's few left up there on my hat hanger), which has caused immeasureable short/long/anytime memory loss. I admit I do have memory problems, so if I screw up, nuke my post, or whatever you gotta do. I am beginning to understand things now.
I have been out of the loop, so to speak, for 20 some odd years, having fertilized and grown six children, and they have since all graduated an institute of higher learning, and in turn, I have FINALLY paid off all that debt. Whew... but it was fun,and they are GREAT young 'uns! I stopped turning on So I could raise the kids, and now that they are grown and gone, Mama sez I can come out and play again (she is straight, and has been from day one - the worst she does is take a Goody's powder for a headache, LOL).
However she doesn't mind me doing it, as long as I do it outside, so I don't stink up the house (smells WONDERFUL to me, but she objects, and I abide by here request). If Mama ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy!
Besides, doing it in the garage gives me access to all kinds of things (tools, jacks, jack stands, air compressors, aerosol cans full of highly flameable substances, gasoline, antifreeze, weed eaters, lawn mowers, chain saws, etc.) that I can hurt myself with. J/K about that, but it does get me closer to my beloved GTO's and my Corvette, so hey, so why complain?
So now that I can come out and play again, I feel like I am 13 years old again, and just learning about the Wacky Tabacky.
Geez, all we had when I was young (back in Noah's day) was a few strains like Panama Red, Columbian Gold, Jamaican, and Green Mexican, and then, that crap that NEVER got anyone stoned (as we were ALL trying to figure out how to grow it - HOMEGROWN). Now it seems that MOST of the stuff here in the good old USA IS homegrown. I think...
I have so far been able to order some pain meds and barbs from "other places" without a script, so I have been happily eating said substances to get a buzz, until I can find someone who can supply me with what I want the most - WEED. I have tried the Salvia stuff also. (I HOPE I am not breaking rules - I am just trying to fill folks in on what my old a double s is doing until I find a reliable source - or wait until next spring and make a valiant attempt to grow my own) Man, was THAT Salvia a trip - LITERALLY. For twenty minutes I felt like I was disintergrating into molecules, as my wife, my designated babysitter, sat in front of me, disintergrating as well.
She sez "sit down", and I sez - "I AM sitting down." Of course I wasn't, I was up pacing, literally scared poopless, feeling like I was floating sideways, out of my body, and like I mentioned before, disintergrating like the guy in "the Matrix" (I think that was the movie - again - short/long/anytime memory loss, he, he, he).
It was NOTHING like acid, or magic 'shrooms.
That stuff scared the poop out of me, just like pot did when I first got off on it at the tender age of 13 (but that's another story). And, alas, like the next morning after at 13, I said a Peter Frampton and said "c'mon, let's do it AGAIN!"
So, until I find a source, I'll settle for the above methods for getting a buzz on. I don't drink much, but I have 35 bottles of various liquors for my friends when they come over, and a little beer in the fridge in case the hard stuff ain't your bag. Booze makes me goofy and unable to do anything. So I don't do it much.
Birdgirl73 (would that be as in FIREbird?, as you said your husband is a member of the Goat herd?) I do apologize for coming off as being obnoxious (the post was, but i am not obnoxious). I tend to say what I think, pull no punches, don't sugarcoat things, and try to be as truthful as possible, unless I am lying to a Police Officer, LOL ( J/K ). I try and treat folks like I want to be treated. Again, sorry I offended you.
So I do humbly apologize for anyone I PO'd. especially you, Mrs. Bird, and ask for the forgiveness of the forum, per se.

I am reading High Times, Cannabis Culture, Skunk, and anything else I can get my hands on, so overlook my newbieness.
I just can't believe the price of an O Z these days (back in Noah's day, we got an ounce of KILLER whatever for 20 bucks), the prices of SEEDS (I gotta get a second job), and all the high tech stuff used to cultivate indoors and out. Amazes the BeJesus out of me.
If anyone wants to see how WE did it in the seventies, go to Amazon.com and buy the book "Steal This Book", by Abbie Hoffman. You can get a good used copy for about seven/eight bucks, and it gives you an idea of what things were REALLY like in the 60's and 70's. I bought it last week, just for laughs, and have been laughing at how really stupid we were, LOL... ("That 70's Show" is full of poop, too). Rent the movie "Dazed and Confused" for another close look at how it really was, plus there's a REAL COOL '70 GTO Judge in it!
Anyways, happy toking, my new toking friends, may God bless each and every one of you, and someone send Karma for me a connection/hookup. Not asking for a hookup - just GOOD KARMA so I can find my own, LOL.... Ain't trying to break any rules... Trying to be a good little fella... :weedpoke:
