has anyone got an iPhone? I just picked one up the other day and im using it right now to make this thread. I love everything about it and it is one of the best gadgets/phone that I have ever got. I was just wondering about other peoples opinions on the phone.

The iPhone looks pretty cool, but it's too expensive for me.
$1860 until you can terminate contract.

i heard the iphone has alot of defects and stuff
I'm waiting for the second generation of iPhones

Yeah I wouldn't get a first generation one either, I'm going to at least wait until the next generation comes out, and they fix some of its issues. Of course, if someone wanted to give me an iPhone, i wouldn't turn it down.;)

I don't get it, people complain about the price of a PS3, but....the iPhone is the same exact price.
No offense, but I think 600 bucks for a phone, regardless of what it does, is ridiculous. If I wanted to browse the web wirelessly, store music, pictures, and movies onto a portable anything I'd just use a PSP which is 170 bucks.

Yeah, I was afraid about the bugs, etc. but I researched a lot about the phone and there really aren't any big bugs. Plus the price isnt 600 anymore, it was dropped by 200.

Eh, I was reading Playboy and they too say that you should wait for at LEAST the third generation iphone to get one.
I wouldnt pay more than 150 bucks for a phone. And even that is insane to me.

Yeah, I wouldnt pay for one at the price hey are now. I got a cell phone and a MacBook already, I can do all that crap already, I dont feel the need to pay $600 to dumb it down and compile it onto one thing.

my dad works for Apple and Steve Jobs kindly gave every employee their own 80GB iphone. Although it looks incredibly stylish and does some cool things I still felt it was kind of gimmicky

Yeah, my cousin has one of those 80gigs, he's a product tester for apple, gets a bunch of free stuff. Which reminds me I gotta inform him I could use a new Video iPod

^ooh that's kinda cool, I expect technology like that will eventually become a standard integration into home computing

I would buy the Iphone if it was 80 gigs. But until it can replace my current IPOD and my phone, I have no use for it. Otherwise it does look awesome and convenient.

The next generation iPhones wont even be different. All the features, phone functions and phone mechanics are all updated by the computer and onto your iPhone.

I know it sounds weird but I dont want one even if they were cheap its too big for me I like small phones does it have built in GPS??
blunt smoker
09-21-2007, 01:00 PM
Yeah, built in GPS, punch in starting location, ending location, gives you a direct route with directions step by step; it even shows the condition of the traffic with green, yellow, orange, or red lines. Punch in a zip code and a name of a company or store, for example: 5555(a zip code) Starbucks Hit Search, and it puts a marker on every Starbucks in your area with the option to see the address, phone number, route, e-mail address, website, and some other shit.

Sounds pretty good but as with most new gadgets, the hype is rife. I'm sure 99% of the iPhones competitors can do what the iPhone can do, and so much more.
Nokia N95? But I don't know if Americans are fond of Nokias?

Idkkkk the iPhone has some shit i've never seen any other phone do. And maybe the other phones may be able to do some of the same things, but the iPhone definitly does it more beautifully.
