View Full Version : My plants - how long to go you think?

I'm another one of these new growers. I am lucky that I can grow this plant on my balcony. Sadly this summer (europe) hasn't been the greatest for sunny days so it hasn't taken off like I had hoped.

By looking at these pictures how many more weeks do you think I have to go? .. and how much more do you think it will grow. my main concern is that it is getting tall that the people across from me can see the plant. I can't bring it inside as I have no room and a young son who I don't want smelling the thing 24/7.

I am looking forward to smoking this as I am taking a few months off smoking until I can smoke this (it makes the wife happy).

It looks like its starting to flower now so Im going to guess 7 weeks or a bit more. With englands cold winters you will probably need to bring it indoors.

maybe suspend a mesh netting to keep it hidden, or something else that still lets the sunlight through? 7 weeks is a good guess, looks like its already well into flowering, good luck.

the only way to know how long it has to go is to check for trichomes and hairs becoming 50% red .

I think you can harvest sooner than 7 weeks , at least some parts.

Post some more photos every 2 weeeks so we can help.

thanks for the help guys. 7 weeks, damn that will just about kill me. I promised my wife I wouldn't smoke until these plants were ready ...... gone a month now .. while I am happy that I am not smoking as much, I miss smoking on those sunny weekend days.

I will post here again in a week or so.

The harvest is the ONE thing that is straight preference. Like H.a.t.time said, what you need to do is watch the trichomes. When you start seeing those trichs turn from a cloudy white to an amber color, is when your window opens up. Earlier harvests with more white make for a 'headier' high where the darker amber colors will give you a more body high, and more analgesic effect. Does that help?
