screen idea

im trying to make a piece,and cant find anything to use for a screen,would steel wool work? if i just kinda shoved it down the tube? basically all it is is a metal pen tube with a socket.

for my first bowl i used wire cutters to cut a screen out of a boom box speaker. but you could just put a little rock in that covers most of the hole

The best way to go (if you can) is go to your local hardware store and ask for wire mesh that can be easily cut by scissors.

Also, put a flame to it for about 10 secs. it gives off black smoke at the start.

Well if you have metal filters for your sinks just take that out and use it.if not just use a piece of screen of a window.

I second that. Just look for any old pair of headphones, they almost always have a screen like that. Make sure to burn it like Stumps said.

Id go for the aeriators in your faucets, they are pretty durable. What are you using for the acual peice?

what i do is take a pop can cut it open. cut off a square then take the square piece and cut at it until i have a perfect circle that will fit the bowl. then i take a saftey pin and cut holes in it very easy fast and its not flammable.

sorry,but im kinda new to the whole home-made piece thing,but how do i get the screen from a sink?

and a piece of aluminium can is out of the question since fire+aluminium can=alzheimers

i usualy find them in the bathroom just put your finger up the faucet and if you feel a screen then unscrew it and there is usualy 2 in there,same kind you buy at the store i think anyway

Put an appropriately-sized clean pebble over the hole in the bowl. Cheap, and the best part is it works (as long as you don't grind your weed up really fine).

you can put a small screw in for the same effect...

if anyone is familiar with glass pipe "screens" you get the idea
