when to start flowering?

hey everyone this is my first grow and my plants are doin awesome...i just wanted to know when to start flowering. they've been vegging for bout 3-4 weeks i think (not sure) and they're about 6-8in...here's a few pics. right now i've been thinkin i'll wait another 7 days or so

Hey congrats on your first grow. Someone please tell my I'm wrong, but these seem to have just entered Veg. By my count they only have about five nodes. You should be keeping them in this stage for a while. Much bigger, fuller. Have you even been able to sex them at this stage? I think it usually takes until they are about 12" or so for this to show. Unless these are clones or fem seeds?

But hey I'm only learning as well.

ahh i see. guess i'll wait awhile...i just dont want them to get too tall while flowering since i have limited space. guess they just started vegging then! thanks for the help

nice looking plants,black out them pots so the light dont damage the roots and i would leave them 2 more weeks or so b4 you flower:thumbsup:

I veg mine for 7 or 8 weeks, but you could start now if you wanted to. My plants end up about 3 feet tall at harvest. Some people don't veg at all; they go strait from cloner to budding. You could also veg for several years to get a hundred pounds. Depends on your needs, growing style and grow room space. Also, depends somewhat on the variety. Lowryder of course, isn't supposed to get real tall.

I see you made one of them thingamjiggies that I thought about making before my first grow.

heh yea...it cost like $25 to make so why not right!? and it works pretty nice, i was damn surprised by how well it works. yea i do need to black out the pots, lol they still got root beer and dr pepper labels

how diu build your hyrdro setup??? how does it work. didnt that come out of the book pot for pennies???:hippy:

its just pvc pipe, water pump with timer, hydrofarm light, and some 2 liter bottles... all the bottles fill up 3/4 of the way for 15 min every 3 hrs or so. you drill a hole in the drain neck and it fills to that height. i was just searching on google and found it

dont forget that when you flower your plant, she double or triple their size for sure, so you dont need to give to much veg time.

i would veg for one more week, then toss those puppies under some 12
