This will be my first serious grow, hopefully to completion. I have done lots of research for this and am hoping to have some returned results in the end :rastasmoke:. This grow is to get away from the need to mess with dealers and have my own stash that I know where and what is in it. Pictured below are my two biggest girls, hopefully. They are about one week old from seed.
The lights are four 150w CFL bulbs suspended from a bar so I can raise/lower as needed (one light is currently off until I buy a bigger power strip). The grow medium is Garden Pro potting soil which is rated .05-.03-.04. I have Perilite to mix in with this potting soil when I go to replant into a larger container.
I will be updating this over the next couple months as long as everything runs smoothly.

These plants were not initially planted with the perilite. Should I replant these plants now in a mixed perilite/soil mix?

I wouldnt right now but you can i would wait till you are ready to transplant them that way you dont couse too much stress which can lead to a whole varity of problems.I would olso change growing mediums. If you can find fox farm's ocean forest mix thatll be good but if you can buy some schultz pro potting mix, dolimite lime, worm castings, perlite. that is the mix im using i was using miracle grow. What ever you do dont buy that shit its no good.Be sure to check the ph of your soil and water that your using on a daily basses:thumbsup:

Day 9
The plants seem to be having a "wilt". I thought this could be due to overwatering, but I have only been water these plants every 2-3 days depending on how dry the soil gets. The seedling "round" leaves seem to be dying off. Attached are pictures of the plants. Any help is appreciated.

These plants also seemed to have stretched as I had the lights too far from the plants in the early few days. Should i replant these two in deeper or let them run the course until I replant in a week or so?

thats what i would suggest, seeing as i just did that to my stretched girls. but an idea im also using is (while there seedlings_ drive a pencil or pen down in there and tie em to it. try and make sure there straight up and bring the light closer. they should be straight so they dont grow bent. unless you want em too i guess i dunno.

you can add more soil to the "pot" to help support the stem.
You have plenty of space.
Did you move the lights closer?

DAY10
I added extra soil like you said and its looking much more upright today :). Also, the lights have been moved to about two inches from the plants tips, with a fan circulating air in the bin. I seemed to have been overwatering and the plants look much more perky today. Here is a quick photo I snapped showing the plants in a much more "upright" position and not as much wilt!

Day 17
I need help. My plant shows sudden signs of sickness and I need to know the best course of action. Refer to the picture below.

There are small red dots on the largest leaves and also the very tips are yellowing and look to be drying out. Help please.

Day 18
Not sure what is going on, but I gave it a good flushing in high hopes it would help the plant out. Its grown quite a bit since yesterday, but still shows the same signs on its bottommost leaves. Yellowing with brown/yellow spots. The rest of the plant looks fantastic. Third node is popping up. When should I start nuting the plant?

Day 19
She found herself in a new home today, and the last one until she has finished her full grow. The bottom leafs are still showing signs of really bad stress and I am not sure what the problem is. Hopefully, more room for her roots to grow will help this out.

Day 20
It looks like it filled out alot today. Even the day after I replanted it! The bottom leaves are still yellowed with red specks, but hoping that the repot might help work this problem out. We shall see in a couple days!

It looks like your baby needs some some more light. other then that its trying to strive. IF you can afford it, indulge its desires :)

I am currently running four 150 watt equivalent CFLs which I thought would be enough juice for at least the first month or two of the plants life. Was I mistaken?

Day 22
After discussing the plant with a few other trusted smokers, I have decided to try LST method on this plant. Using metal hooks I have bent this plant after the second node. Overnight the plant has realigned itself up and is continuing to grow. This morning I gave it its first very diluted nutes. Going to see how the plant handles a little bit of nutrients.
Pictures will be up soon, having camera difficulties. Since I planted her in a larger container with her final medium she has grown considerably, I want to say at least doubled in size if not more. Also has completely stunk up the grow closet :rastasmoke:. Although I don't see a stinky room being a problem for me, in the next couple weeks I will have to make a carbon scrubber to reduce this smell. It looks like the plant is going to be quite skunky.

Not the best picture (took it with my phone). Better pictures to come up later on tonight when I have access to a new camera.

Day 24
S/he is growing like a wild thing. The LSTing looks to be working wonders. Takes about 6 hours before the plant realigns itself "up". The first picture is the plant which now goes to the end of the bucket. Soon I will start turning the plant counterclockwise around the bucket. The second picture, kinda blurry sorry, shows the side branches which hopefully will produce some sticky green.

Day 26
After further review, I decided against the lst method. We let the plant back up on the 25th day and today it looks great. Its compact and full. I would like this plant to grow a bit in height so I pulled the lights back to about 6 inches from the plant. Hopefully it will stretch a little tonight to reach the light. Other than that, everything is going great I think. Stinky closet let me tell you, only going to get better :rastasmoke:.

Day 27 1/2
Today is the plants best looking day. I think it wants a night out on the town! Attempted FIM on the plant yesterday, but looks by the growth to only net 2 shoots. Plant has perked up, and shows good signs of growth. Another week or two and she will be ready to flower.

About how long until the new shoots catch up with the plant? Also is it possible to put newly FIMed plant into flower or should you wait for growth?
