Liverpool Ghandi, what are you talking about? It does not take 3 months for your lungs to recover and tar is different than THC. Tolerance and lung damage and tar deposits are not the same thing.

Ive found that I am back to wet behind the ears state after about two months of not smoking. I get a noticible difference in tolerance after just the first week clean, and usually that is enough to make things nice again right there.
Three months, should most likely be enough that you have effectively hit the reset button, but it really depends on alot of things, such as body weight, how much you used to smoke, and what kind of bud you smoked.

it takes 3 months for the tar in your lungs to disapate, surely the tolerance you develop to thc is due to the tar deposates in your lungs making the thc harder to absorbe forgive my ignorance if im incorrect sir

The tolerance comes from the same thing that happens with any other drug. Your body gets used to the chemical, and doesnt react the same.
By removing the chemical from your body for a period of time, your body starts getting to the point where it isnt used to the chemical and the reaction happening. Once your body isnt used to it happening, the effects are greater.
Its a problem you see alot in people who use pain medications. I remember the steady climb through pain killers that my step father went... they had to give him larger doses, of stronger medicine as time went on, because his body was so used to the other medicine that it just didnt affect him anymore.

Yea your resistance level will be back to where it was when you first started toking, but you still have you knowledge!
After about 30 days of not smoking cannabis, it will have cleared from the system in most people.

yeah... its said that they have the reverse-tolerance effect... as more you use it, less it takes for feel the effects.
But it also happens with weed. If a long-time smoker have a break long enough for reset its tolerance, when it smoke again it will need a smaller amount of weed than a newbie, for reaching the same level of "highness".
So, weed have the two effects: normal tolerance at short term, and reverse tolerance at long term.

In the past I have had a few long breaks from smoking, 6 months proberly the longest. Your tolerance does lower to almost what is was before you ever smoked but your tolerance increases a lot faster than it did before.

I have to say that you will get pretty high but I don't think any thing will match the newb stage where you couldn't stop laughing if your life depended on it. Like some one else said, you will still always have the knowledge which allows you to "control" your self when high.
