Buds Taste Like Molasses

I harvested a couple buds right when my plants trichomes turned cloudy. I quick dried some and the taste is of molasses which I used throughout flowering. I am waiting to harvest the rest. Is there anything I can do to prevent the rest of the harvest tasting like molasses?

you could try flushing the plant with water for 2 weeks prior to harvest
