To my Fellow Community,
I have been doing some thinking, just taking a look at my life, making sure i am going in the right direction, not setting myself up for failure. I go to school, have a GOOD job, its all good. I just started smoking again about a month ago. And that got me thinking, is smoking the right thing to do. I began searching for reasons to quit...life, women, work, etc... after some SERIOUS thinking..I realized i couldnt find ONE damn good reason to quit. DONT get me wrong i agree there is some reasons to take a break for awhile so you know YOU still have control! but really ladies and gentleman...TAKE A MINUTE, and think is there any reason to quit! I have done my searching and realized NO SOOO
:bigsmoke: STAY LIT PEOPLE!!!!!!

Tell me if you have any reasons to quit!

After reading your post, I have come to the conclusion that I should smoke my 1,500,000 bowl to commemerate this glorious occasion.

Is that a lot?
Shouldn't I be dead?

Nah, im all good. I spend ALOT of money on it, but it always comes last. If i didnt have the money, i wouldnt buy it. Simple. My missus doesnt care about me smoking, my parents dont [not that if they did it'd make a blind bit of differnce], it doesnt affect my work, my bosses all couldnt give a shitless, and one of them is a magistrate. Life is good, and im stoned. Why quit? I'd only be in pain and unable to work, and therefore, broke. Ironicly, without weed i'd have no money at all. Now that's a fucked up concept to get your head around.
Thank fuck my tolerance never seems to build up either. 1 joint will get me as stoned as it did 4 years ago, albeit for only a couple of hours compared to a good few hours a few years back. I love weed, weed loves me, life is good. I'm happy. And is'nt that all we can really hope for in life? Isnt that what we all want? To be happy, and content. I'm both. I'm happy, and im content, it's all good. I think im babbling, im pretty damn fucking stoned, i mean im going to pass out soon. I still havnt finsihed the last joint.

I'll smoke 'till the day i die. My last breath willl be of cannabis smoke.

:rastasmoke:so far I have found no reason to quit if and when the times comes to do so I would. occasionally I take a couple of weeks off to clear the system apart from that back I go to my herbal medicine.
keeps me happy does not interfere with my work or home life.
the wife understands though she does not smoke herself. lovely women.
so I'm about to light one in my wife's hounor.

LIP, for a scrappy Cockney marine mechanic, you can be surprisingly poetic. Hell, you're poetic. No need to qualify that.

When you can find that balance, then no, there's no real reason to stop. If you can't then maybe it's time ot take a break (easier said than done sometimes).

There are 'real' reasons to quit, for example if someone is spending money on cannabis rather then their child. I smoke the Kaya and get high in the sky with Jah in the highest region. There is no reason for I to quit, instead embbrace Jah's creation of wisdom weed and praise him.

I think his point was, he couldn't find any reasons in his life to quit. There are plenty of scenarios for which it would be best to give up the herb. In my case, for instance, I need to take a break so I can get a job. It's all about having your priorities straight. I use cannabis for recreation, so other responsibilities come first.

the ex husband said once long ago, "your addicted, you will never quit that weed". i put down the j, and quit and laughed in his face. started smoking agian when i divorced him. boy i showed him.....lol....i can quit anytime...just not forever. i can see no reason to ever quit again in my life. As the man said, as long as it isnt taking from the kids or the rent and bills......smoke smoke if you smoke.

You mean nobody see's the most obvious reason? It's not good for your lungs to put tar into them!

My doctor says different.
According to him, cannabis is an excellent expectorant, and is good for my lungs.

i had a few reasons to quit, and one really good reason, so i quit, and i havent looked back. i dont miss it at all.....but for some strange reason , i still regularly post on a cannabis message board and ive smoked maybe two or three times since i've been a member.

Reasons to quit:
-- All growers assassinated
-- All growers' deaths staged by U.S. Government to appear as if assassinated, later tortured and killed in black-bag prisons in Eastern Europe
-- Paranoia due to multiple viewings of "Evil Bong"

I've been someing for about 7-8 years solid, and Ive given up for a few weeks/months in the past, normaly due to droughts, lack of cash or just feeling like it's stopping me doing the things I want, but whenever I'm off it I just miss it and end up smoking so many cigarrettes that Im actualy spending more money giving it up, and damaging my lungs a hell of a lot more.
It's down to personal choice, but as long as you've got no problem with things like the hassle of getting it sometimes and can hide it well enough to not get in any legal trouble there realy is no reason to give it up if you enjoy it.
