Don't understand!

I have 5 seedlings about 5 days old.They're on there first set of leaves.My question is,why is there purple running from the dirt up to the leaves?Why are my stems purple more the less.All 5 are that way too!Don't understand.Any help from anyone would be highly respected.Thank you soo much:thumbsup: Oh yea! I have the seedlings in soil,I water them in small amounts once a day(tap water i leave out),and have them under 20 hours light 4 hours dark(something new im trying out with the lighting schedule).I have 4 27w CFL's 1-2 inch's above them.And no nutes yet just water.Again any help from anyone would be sooo great thx again! Hope its not the lighting. lol 10th grow but its been a while!sorry for the rookie question! the strain is afgani.:)

Sorry for the thread didnt notice it in the cannibis faqs lounge.Crazy too cuz i been on that faqs page a million times.Again sorry for the dumb Question,that is easily answered if i'd open my EYES!All I've done for like the last 4 weeks is reading and catching up on my weakened out dated skills.I can't believe i never came across that tip.Sorry Again! :(

Purplish stems on seedlings isn't something I personally worry about as long as the leaves are healthy and don't show signs of scorch.
