I know you have probably watched family, and friends grow other plants that are ment to be just looked in gardens for years with fertilizers nevertheless, growing Marijuana plants is about quality, and style not quantity. Your information is absolutely confounded! Fertilizers are just concentrated forms of nutrients that naturally occur in soil. They do not alter the THC and cannibinoid creation...in fact they make it
much healthier of a plant.

Its a possible side effect/reaction of the psychoactive nature of the drug. It really has nothing to do with whether or not there is fert left in the finished buds.

If the grower does not flush the weed thoroughly enough, I get very bad headaches from the fertilizers.
But if it was not for those "Miraculous" fertilizers, we would not be smoking killer weed.
And right now I have some of the stinkiest smelliest stoniest shit I have had in a couple of weeks that was no doubt grown with potent fertilizers.
I have a friend that gets me better weed than I can get with my prescription from any weed store in my part of the Valley.

This is an absolutely ridiculous thread.
You cannot grow indoors without fertilizer. Even outdoors, if you want good growth, you MUST provide a source of nutrition to your plants, be it from compost, guano, or liquid ferts.
Better quality fertilizer makes better quality pot.
The OP needs to do some reading and find better sources than 'some people who smoked pot'...
Mother Nature can't be bothered to go hunting around for pot plants to help out. There are no fertilizer fairies who magically appear and feed your plants.
THC isn't the only psychoactive chemical in pot either. By your logic, my tomatoes that I've grown with Miracle Grow should also make me paranoid.

Good ideas here, but if I could make a suggestion? My friend who smokes grew the best fucking weed with his TV! He said the UV rays from a TV make for alot of that "powdery substance" (called tetrishydrocannabinos) that gets you trippin'! Maybe you should do your whole grow this way for the biggest bud!:D

7 is neutral pH, and 7-up is a pH buffer.
Unfortunately you REALLY want your pH in the 5.5-6.7 range whilst growing hydroponically.
You can get around this problem if you mix 7-up and 5 alive they average to a pH of 6 and that should be fine for your purposes.

well, last night i decided to start the grand experiment. i went out and picked up 10 cases of pixie stix, 17 6-packs of mountain dew and a gross of glow in the dark condoms (there don't seem to be any fireflies around these parts and i already had the candles left over from my days of black magic). i was all ready to go when i realized i had nothing to grow. luckily i know a few folks around that can help me out in that department, so i packed up and headed to the next town over for a little help from my friends. imagine my surprise when i finally got home around 6 o'clock this morning and found the remains of one of the most massive fert fairy parties i have ever seen. it seems the little buggers were a bit curious about the materials for my little experiment and decided to taste the contents of the various packages for themselves. if there's anything those fairies can't get enough of it's sugar and caffeine and with all of those condoms lying about an orgy soon ensued (yes, even fairies believe in safe sex). when i walked in this morning the entire closet was filled with empty cans and candy wrappers, used condoms and dead and/or comatose little bodies. it seems that many of them actually screwed themselves to death.

i'm cleaning up right now, but the real reason i'm posting this is to ask y'all a question. does anyone here know if dead fairies make good fertilizer?

This may or may not work with fairies. Being fairies, I suspect that they, even in death, are impervious to decay, even in the presence of mycorrhizal fungi. I mean, have you ever heard of a fairy getting athlete's foot or ring-worm? It simply does not occur.

I guess you could try tossing them on the compost heap and seeing if anything happens.

...D.O.N: Pixies HATE garlic! What I would do to prevent future problems is sprinkle a bit of garlic powder into an empty pixi stick and wait. They have an amazing ability to relay their disgust back to base, where the masses should then decide on an alternative party! This knowledge has actually been available to a few major growers nationwide, for a few years. I've only recently made these changes myself, but have not had to make any 'hospital visits' since. Personally, I'll never touch any "grow products" again in my life, as they dont LIST the harmful chemicals. Definately give props to your man for doin' it the right way!:thumbsup:

This is an absolutely ridiculous thread.
You cannot grow indoors without fertilizer. Even outdoors, if you want good growth, you MUST provide a source of nutrition to your plants, be it from compost, guano, or liquid ferts.
Better quality fertilizer makes better quality pot.
The OP needs to do some reading and find better sources than 'some people who smoked pot'...
Mother Nature can't be bothered to go hunting around for pot plants to help out. There are no fertilizer fairies who magically appear and feed your plants.
THC isn't the only psychoactive chemical in pot either. By your logic, my tomatoes that I've grown with Miracle Grow should also make me paranoid.
But they just make me full, and give me canker sores if I eat too many.

as an experiment, i've decided to grow my next crop using only pixie stix as fertilizer and watering them only with mountain dew. for lighting i'll be using three black candles and an odd assortment of fireflies and glow in the dark condoms. i'll let you know how it goes.


maybe i should complete this experiment in some secret underground bunker in idaho.....
.....if you never hear from me again you'll know that i have fallen into the clutches of our alien foe....my little experiment, though fruitful in some respects, has all come to naught. after stocking up on the necessities, i secreted myself in my underground lair and proceeded to build my experimental grow. my major mistake seems to have been one of location. little did i know that the neighborhood i had chosen was particularly popular with bunker enthusiasts and i found myself constantly bombarded with visits from members of various clandestine groups hoping to borrow the odd garden implement, self defense handbook or cup of plutonium.

my first major setback was a late night raid by a group of renegade girl scouts who, planning a birthday party for one of their members, were in search of party supplies. they managed to pilfer most of my pixie stix for party favors and condoms for balloons before i brained their leader with one of my black candles (unintentionally providing myself with four candles in the process) and sent them scurrying back to their own bunker. the next morning i scoured the surrounding villages for replacements, but found such supplies had been banned by the powers that be. who would have thought that those damn mormons would have outlawed condoms and pixie stix, the former because they seem to consider it a sin to not reproduce ferociously and the latter to protect their numerous offspring from the scourge of tooth decay. so, armed with 200 pounds of refined sugar (the only thing i could find in that neck of the woods) and relying solely on my fireflies and candles for my lighting needs, i once again locked myself away to proceed with the grand experiment.

my next loss was even more devastating than the first. a nearby coven of radical satanists, finding themselves short on black candles for their upcoming sabbath, broke in and stole away with three of mine (they left me with one of the short ones). as i watched their black robes meld into the darkness i began to suspect that my experiment was doomed to failure, but still i trudged bravely on. i knew how important my discoveries might be to future stoners and that only i was capable of the fortitude needed to complete this mission.

in hindsight, i realize how delusional i was becoming as the year wore on. forced to exist on a diet of flat mountain dew, moldy sugar and the occasional dying firefly, i watched as my crop withered. as my last candle guttered and i conversed with the fairies and goblins of my ravaged mind, i finally understood that they had done this to me and that i must exact some sort of vengeance on an uncaring world. when that last seedling succumbed, illuminated only by a soggy book of matches and two flickering bic lighters, i knew that the powers of "big marijuana" had conspired against me and that my dream was at an end. leaving behind only a single sputtering firefly and the odor of decay, i abandoned my lonely bunker and staggered once more into the light of day.

i know that somewhere in this dreary tale there lies a moral, but i can't figure out what it is for the life of me. it might be the futility of pointless dreams or the even that three wrongs don't make a broken camel's back. i don't suppose it really matters, i just wanted to let you all know that the aliens hadn't whisked me off to trafalmador to perform their weird and horrifying experiments on my fragile frame and that there is still one lone hero out there laboring for the betterment of stonerkind. my next experiment consists of discovering a new high explosive derived exclusively from male seedlings. i'll let you all know how that's going, unless.....

Good ideas here, but if I could make a suggestion? My friend who smokes grew the best fucking weed with his TV! He said the UV rays from a TV make for alot of that "powdery substance" (called tetrishydrocannabinos) that gets you trippin'! Maybe you should do your whole grow this way for the biggest bud!:D
