Where would you grow/go... if you wanted to grow on a commercial level (4.5-5.5kw power)

nor cal, oregon, alaska, wash? ect... all things relative... if you had the chance, money, and equipment... where would you grow and why?

I would not grow in Alaska unless it was for personal/local consumption. It's risky on a couple levels that I would prefer not to get into here.

NorCal has a lot of things going for it. The Pacific NW in general- growing is almost cliche!

I am going to have to put in a vote for a northern, decrim state that is sparsely populated and a place where you can't see your neighbors. I have a soft spot for the Northeast.

i would go someplace where i can get alot of sun, main reason for this....Solar panels.... cant beat free electric. At that point its just a matter of making sure the place that you are doesnt have any neighbors this will help with the defusing of the smell. Then i would have a well drilled that way i dont have to worry about taking water from the town, although it would be a little more difficult to control the pH of the water, but a small price to pay for being commercial. At that point, you can do whatever you want.....

hmmm i looked into it and despite decrimin in some states, the lowest max penalties are in new mexico and colorado... at least for anything i would dream of... and i would imagine there is lots of sun...

about 30k for a complete 5k-6k solar power system... that really good when you think about everything

Well, also keep in mind, that each state also has a tax relief for those solar systems, so a 30k system with federal and state tax breaks will cost about 15k. When you add that and then if you actually live in a state with alot of sun, if you produce more, you can add to the network grid and will be paid by the electric company for what you have produce for them...... there are systems out there that i believe have a computer program tied to them so you can monitor the entire set-up..... well worth the investment imo.

most solar panel systems will have a roi that ranges between 5-10 years depending on where you are located.

It's actually more efficient to run your solar right into the grid rather than trying to store it in a bank of batteries. You then run your meter BACKWARDS during periods of intense sunshine.

if it were just me i would pick the remote nw also, but my wife hates anything colder than 70deg.(i guess i would have to keep a good fire goin at all times)

if it was our decision we would prob pic a tropical climate

In the basement of a laundramat, for 3 big reasons:

1. Electric bill - theyre never gonna question how much juice a laundramat uses
2. Smell - Vent your grow room out with the dryer vents. As long as there're 1 or 2 running, it'll cover the smell nicely.
3. Heat - When choppers fly by doing their infra red scans, you're covered.

When I grow up.. I want to own a laundramat.
