Hey all, first grow log and hopefully it will be a success!
I just got my skywalker seeds today (For info on it: PlanetSkunk [ Superior Genetics - Worldwide Delivery ] (http://www.planetskunk.com/marijuana_seeds.php/products_id/104) ) and began germination by using a beer bottle w/ water.
I are using a 1000w HPS HiD light w/ 140,000 Lumens. Will have pics up soon of set up.
Sounds good there doc!
Nice lamp!! Just be careful of the heat from a 1000watter as i know people have enough trouble on here with just a 400 let alone a 1000. Make sure you have a good exhaust/intake system running in there.
Any sats?
where are you doing it? soil or hydro? details of either. Pot sizes. Nutes your gonna be using? pH of water in and out? etc etc
Good luck!

Sorry for the delay in an update.
Some more info:
We are running a soil set up (We wanted to do hydro initially, but once we realized just how expensive this stuff is, we decided to go soil)
We germinated the seeds in a beer bottle, with a bit of water at the bottom for a day, and then moved them to paper towels in a zip lock baggy for another day.
After germination we put them in soil in small pots (3 inch), we are using ocean forest 100% organic potting soil (made by fox farm), nuts we are using are fox farm 6-4-4 (though we wont be using nuts for awhile) We are using advanced nutrients PH up and PH down. most plants are doing ok on ph level, a few have had to be adjusted either way
lamp is about 5 feet above plants, with temp at the plants being around 82 (We know we need to get that a bit cooler) we have it so high b/c we dont want to burn plants since they are just now getting ready to sprout
Right now our problem is that now on almost day 6 (5 1/2 really) we planted the seeds with root tips down on day 3, and we still have no sprouting, and on further inspection it looks like they are growing upside down (Roots growing towards surface) now I've read on sites both ways either grow them root tip up and down, so trying to figure out if we should flip them or not. Any advice would be appreciated
Btw, pics are on teh way I promise just need to borrow a freinds dig camera
