Hey everyone I have been an almost daily reader of these forums for about the last 2 years now and I used the forums for personal research and have found an abundance of valuable information here. Many of you are very intelligent and offer great deals of helpful info, others not so much(use the search feature!)
This is my first post on these forums ever mainly due to the fact that I was recently busted for possession in a Federal park and I am now on conditional discharge which includes a year probation and drug tests. I really am left with no room for error as I will be drug tested when I appear at court in about a month and the judge is a real hard ass and will not hesitate to throw out my conditional discharge. I already had to admit to using cannabis at my first court date because they wanted to test me right there on the spot in the u.s. district court building which has very high security(metal detectors, guards , camera probably everywhere) so that rules out and kind of substitution method. I can't risk that.
So I have decided to straight up quit after being a daily, very heavy smoker for the last 6-7 years( haven't gone more than 2 days in a row in that period) until this whole thing blows over. So I have been doing my research looking into ways to speed up the detox process as much as possible, knowing that it could take anywhere up to 45 days to rid it from my system.
I know exercise or anything that will speed up my metabolism will help speed up the process. I have read about dozens of people who waist their money on these cleansing drinks that cost up to $50+ a pop and others who try things as silly as cranberry pills which will only help them if they happen to have urinary track infection. As well as other crazy death sentences such as drinking bleach, ammonia, drain o. Have some common sense people.
I have recently been looking into a few amino acids and other naturally occurring chemicals in the body that can be purchased at health stores as supplements and would like to know what some of you experienced people think about using these to speeding up the process. From the facts I have read it seems like it makes sense that it would help, but would like to know if there would be any other negative side effect from using these before being tested, mainly 1-3 days prior to testing.
Before I start I am 24 5'7" about 165lbs. From the start I am not really fat but my average bodyweight had always been around 150 until I stops working construction. I chose these supplements because they have the little or no side effects and I can't deal with the on edge feeling metabolism boosters like stacker 2 and other caffeine, ephedra or ma-huang supplements give me.
-L-Theanine: This one I picked up do to its stress and anxiety relief properties because unless I am keeping myself busy, not being able to smoke is leaving me very tense and anxious. It is a nonessential amino acid found in teas, especially green tea. Since it has stress relief properties it counteracts elevated cortisol levels which usually lead to fat storage in the body and helps to optimize the fat burning environment.100mgs twice a day seems to really help a lot as so far I feel great. No more anxiety.
-Acetyl L-Carnitine: Nutritional supplement plays a role in fatty acid oxidation. Aids in shuttling fat into muscle cells to be burned and that helps burn unwanted body fat(The kind that clings on to those pesky THC molecules that I need out of my body in a month?") Also speeds up metabolic rate. From what I have read 500-750mg twice a day seems to have the greatest effect.
-Alpha Lipoic acid: Naturally occurring in human body but can also be supplemented. Plays a main role in body's natural metabolism and has wonderful antioxidant properties. Neutralizes free radicals in fatty and watery parts of cells mainly the mitochondria where we burn fat and keeps the fat burning environment at an ideal state. This used together with the other 2 above can raise metabolic rates well above normal at higher doses with little or no side effects, especially when combined with exercises. 200mg a day seems like a good dose according to some articles i have read and I actually feel very relaxed, alert and my concentration seems better.
I know this sounds like a thread on some fatty McFatfat weight loss forum but if any of you decide to stop smoking due to these terrible circumstances or even for your own personal reasons maybe this can help knock a handful of days off of the detox process. Hopefully it may be able to benefit some of us whose livelihood, children, jobs, education, marriage or any other aspect of life that might be at risk due to these unfortunate drug tests we are faced. Hell maybe it can help some of us who have developed a high tolerance and rid some of those extra THC
from our fat cells so we can get what we pay for.
The only thing I am worried about is taking these too close to the test and having too many THC metabolites in my urine due to the increase fat burning just like with exerciser. I plan on using the detox method I read about in the sticky just in case along with some aspirin and some b vitamins, but I would really love some opinions from some of you folks out there as to what some of you think about this since I have not been able to find a drop of info on these supplements and detoxing THC.
hope to hear from some of you,
Thanks all
