Am I in the clear?

So I went in for a drug test on August 24. I expected it to be just urine testing, but was surprised when it was also hair testing. I passed the urine test, which they tested on the spot, but the hair had to be sent away to the psychemedics lab.

I had stopped smoking for the most part in late May. Since then I have smoked twice, July 3rd and 4th, with the time on the 4th being a relatively good quantity. I hadn't cut my hair or anything before going in, and my hair had last been cut sometime in mid May.

However, when measuring my hair, I realized it had been growing at above the normal rate of half an inch a month. When I had it cut in mid May, it was to about half an inch long. By the time I measured it after my test, only three months later, it was three and a half inches long.

So anyway, it's now September 8th and I haven't heard back about the drug test yet. I start work on Monday. Am I probably in the clear?

They can only test the last 1 & 1/2 or about 90 days because it becomes inaccurate.

They say over 1 & 1/2 inches of hair that if you smoke 3 times over those 90 days then you could test positive.

What was this "good amount" on 7-4? I do think though if you haven't heard back yet you probably are ok.

it was for pre-employment, in their own medical offices.

The good amount was probably 2.5-3 grams, at most. The other time was probably no more than .5-1 gram.

Do you think the fact that my hair was clearly growing faster than half an inch a month could have been part of what helped? I thought I was screwed when I first had the test, but I'm thinking I might have passed now, since I haven't heard anything.

I'm not even entirely sure what a labcorp is. It was in their own medical facility at the job location, and the company the hair test was sent to was psychemedics
